    Hello everyone.
I work for an agency and we will be building our own affiliate system. The thing is that we would like to build it in a way that will give us seo value.
So I need your help on how we could run a private affiliate program considering seo.
How could we benefit from those links without risking?
What are the best strategies to do that?

Should we build separate pages for every affiliate with canonicals? Should we block it from robots.txt?
Should we just use our regular pages?
And how should the URLs look like in order to pass seo value but not raise any flags and efficiently track referrals?

    Thank you all in advance.

Since you're feeling so lonely, I decided to join you :D For real now, I have no idea how to help you. Still, I'm looking forward to find how this turns out, I'm always interested in new affiliate system. Getting from the start means low competition and higher chances for me to make money :) Good luck on your project!

when ever some one puts your affiliate link on his site you will get link juice.
that juice may taste bad or good depending upon site.

approve only good sites , check refer of traffic constantly .
scrape links to your domain and then check them using a good tool , if you find links on bad page then notify the affiliate and ask him to make a lp and send traffic from his site to lp and place affiliate link on lp.

Guys, thanks a lot for answering, I feel indeed less lonely now :)
However, I must say that actually I was asking for another thing.
Affiliate links DON'T pass seo value (3rd party platform, 302 redirection.)
We are building our own affiliate system but I would like to keep seo value for my site. The question is how to do that without getting into g00gle's radar? I mean, if I place a ?aff_id=xxx in my URL, g00gle will find out.
I read some stuff on using anchors instead, example URL: #some_param=xxx and use javascript to track sales.
Anyway, is there anyone who has done a research on this?

To be completely SEO-friendly without getting on big G's radar, one way you could potentially do this is to rely on the HTTP "Referer" header...
So, affiliate would link directly to www.yourdomain.com
and then, your index.php script will look at the "referer", parse out the domain, and attach an affiliate cookie if relevant.
The main caveat here is that some browsers may not always pass the referring URL properly, so you'll need to explain that to affiliates and compensate a bit.

Browsers don't pass referrer when the source url is https and the target is http.

Relying on referrer is bad for the affiliates, but not bad at all for the affiliate network.

Also, considering Google is in the affiliate business, they'll automatically demote your network soon as they find out you're running an affiliate network. They don't like no stinking competition on the WWW.
