I am experienced web developer and I have one idea(who doesn't), so I will explain, and you guys let me know what you think about it. I don't mind to share it, because from idea to product is long way :)

I am thinking to build SEO CRM(or portal) where SEO service vendors can sell their services, manage their workers, projects, clients, leads, check projects progress communicate with clients.
Clients on other side can view all their orders, work progress(vendors should update their work daily), their past orders(for example check if their links are removed and so on). Payments would also be managed via this portal.

Why I come to this idea?
I am not SEO provider, but rather buyer, and ordered SEO services many times via this forum, but the problem is that all communication with SEO providers are via emails, so I need to be very organized to keep tracking of progress, check when it is done, which is harder if you have more orders. Also we all know it is important that links are not build at once, and daily reports(weekly) would ensure me that provider is really work on my project. And if I do not like some services or if there are some mistakes in service, I can contact provider, before service is completed. Or if I bought links for one year, I can check if links are still live, and if they are not, I can contact provider and ask him why links are removed. It would be possible to download detailed reports in few formats, for example in pdf and csv.

For SEO providers, they would be able to track work of each worker, they would be able to create their own packages and payment would be done automatically(for example "pay now" button of service on this forum would lead to portal payment page, so providers would not need to setup their own websites, payment gateway and so on), communicate with clients via system and so on.

There would be service fee of maybe 5% per order, and that is why how I would make money from this project.

I have much more ideas about this this are just basics so I would like to know would you use this system as client and as provider?

I am not sure if I posted in right forum, if not please move my post to correct one.

This would really depends on the feature that you will include. Most of the providers here uses online forms, and tracking by the thread. I haven't seen one that uses an actual system to manage their buyers /clients. Maybe other provider should chime it, as it is a good idea. Better for you it is a recurring fee :)

No I don't think because elance is job marketplace, and I want to develop CRM system/project management system especially for SEO, where you can create your packages, assign tasks to your workers and so on.

I know, and it is headache to track everything.
And especially from buyer point if they have 10 or more website, and order few service, it is really hard to track everything, and ensure that all services are provided.
