After working with an SEO company for 3 months at 1,400 a month I fired them because I thought they were too black hat and can't see their seo work lasting over a long period of time. Their own site gets around 2-3,000 dollars of traffic a month compared to the new company I found who according to semrush gets around 70,000 a month- a significant difference.

Anyway, after firing this company I find they deleted the links they made for me . I actually don't mind though cause their links seem pretty spammy to me but that seems like a scummy move to do after we paid for three months of their service. I'm tempted to post their company name but that would be kind of mean to do. :$

Edit- it was 1,400 a month nor 140! My android phone seems to autocorrects numbers sometimes.

if you don't want anyone to be in your position in future you should write the name of company.

There is something fishing around here. I don't know what, but so it looks.

OP, don't put any name on the thread if you don't have solid proof.

One gets 3k semrush and the other gets 70k, so you think they are better at Seo?

This has to be up there with the dumbest shit I have ever read on here.

Don't judge your SEO Agency by their SEMrush rank...that's pretty foolish.

It depends on the kind of contract you have. Some services explicitely tell that they just rent you the links in their network. Meaning they will be gone as soon as you finish paying the monthly check. They do that

    a) to bring you in dependency
    b) because they can rent the same links to another company then to make more $$

that is not "mean" in itself. It is just a model of doing SEO. Probably not the best for the client though

$130/month is cheaper than any reasonable price for a full SEO comapny. That should have been first clue. Secondly $120/month is not even enough to RENT many good links. You got exactly what you paid for OP unfortunately. SEO campaigns run more like $600-$3,000 per month if being done by a reputable company. You got a very cheap education.

Seriously mate, for 140 per month most so called seo's would not have even started building links yet they would string you out and say they are doing on-page optimisation. So for them to build links straight away is great. If you want to PM me their name I might look at using them.

If they have admin access to WMT, they will probably use the URL removal tool to deindex your site.

    oh SEOs
    oh you

Paying $140 a month for SEO is pretty useless, I dont think you will find anyone good at that price but what would I know I never purchased a monthly service.

I think you would be better off buying 10-15 PBN post with that $140 lol

I just audited two cheap indian SEOs for a customer. The backlinks were pretty lulzy. They were doing "social profile links" and one of the Twitter accounts even had the wrong company (a competitor) linked in their Twitter post. That's the type of shit you get for $140.

Sorry guys I wrote the post from my phone and it is 1,400 a month not 140, not sure why my phone autocorrects numbers like this.

Also the SEO company I originally worked looks like most their clients get rankings for local keywords but u haven't seen evidence of them ranking keywords nation wide.

The company I work with now is number 2 for a competitive international seo keyword (thousands of searches a month) versus the other company which ranks around 14th spot and they rank number 2 for a seo keyword if their state name is mixed in it but that is a few hundred searches a month at most and for local search.

I swear I read the exact same post a couple of weeks ago. It mentioned the exact same thing, hmmm strange!

Anyways, you fired them, now move on! you where paying 140 a month, thats incredibly cheap! What's the point in spending any more energy on it.

I would be thinking about a number of things, you said he/she was blackhat.. removing the links, has probably just saved you a lot of heartache! however, you have to look at it from another angle, it's a learning curve, you now have more experience, you will not make the mistake twice, right!? well at least that's the idea. I would say a lot of people spend thousands of $$$$ before actually looking to learn it themselves to save money and hopefully make more too. However, it's not easy work, if you want quality SEO, even some blackhat SEO is easier but still hard and requires a brain.

Secondly, again going back to you think he/she is blackhat, you leaving any sort of negative review, will highy likely end up with a revenge neg seo attack on your website/you. Leaving you in a bigger mess and more money to sort it out, if not completely having to start all over again.

I seriously wouldn't start playing games with peoples businesses, as some people when backed up into a corner, come out fighting and in this case, the blackhat SEO could just ruin your whole business and reputation. I would tread carefully. I have seen guys in the past with this attitude, loose everything and end up back in shitty 9 -5 to jobs, still complaining about everything.
