I suck at journeys, yeah I said it, and I mean it too. I probably have started 3 journeys by now and I dropped each and everyone of them. This time, I want to actually stick with this mother fucking journey and see through it for once.

"If I can't have it, neither can you."
That phrase right there describes the crab mentality the best. That is how I feel about anyone that I talk to about making money on the internet. "There's no fucking way you can do it, go get a real job." Most of us probably heard that before at one point in our lives.

The point of this journey is for me to climb out of the crab bucket and show them that I can have it and they can suck it.

Here's what I'm working on currently + some cool code names

    PROJECT: RUBBER DUCKY

This was the first project I started working on and it seems to be coming along nicely. Only problem right now is monetizing this bad boy. I'm trying Amazon for it right now, no, not some kind of review site. More along the lines of "How do I ______ by my self" kind of website.

Using Amazon Native Shopping ads that is shown globally on the website. Need to rank more keywords currently to help boost the amount of daily visitors. Oh, and I need to fix the design soon, the bounce rate is ass right now.

    PROJECT: BANG BANG

This one isn't as old but I didn't really focus much attention to this website. I got it built and then bought a package for links and just left it. I think it's been a little over a month now and at least there is some movement. Will start working on this one day by day.

Currently monetized with Amazon, this one is one of those classic Amazon Review websites, specifically reviews on products.

    PROJECT: RED MOON

This one is new, like very new.. How new? Less than 24 hours old. I wanted to work on this one on more of a self improvement project. What do I mean by that? I suck at writing and I always try to avoid it. I'm writing all the content myself for this project and it's targeting where I live locally.

Yes, this is a local SEO project if that wasn't clear. It's going to be a Rank and Rent model or a lead generation with local businesses. I looked around for a bunch of local keywords and will write an article a day for every keyword I find.

Will be building links to the homepage slowly, see how the website reacts.

    How do I do SEO?

For projects like these / in this thread (Maybe not RED MOON), web 2.0's, profiles, and SAPE. At this moment, I don't build PBN's or scrape for expired domains. It's not as easy as it used to be to find high quality expired domains now and I'm not ready to be blowing money like I'm at the strip club in the auctions.

I don't want to buy PBN links either because SAPE is waaaaaaay cheaper and just as good if you actually spend the time to learn how to filter through the links and what not..

I get the feeling someone is going to be asking me about on-page seo, I don't really focus much on that. Title, url, interlinking, and image alt-tags, that's all I do. I have a background as a web designer and work as a frontend developer, so I focus more on user experience.

What I really care about? SITE SPEED. I HATE WEBSITES THAT TAKE LONGER THAN 1 SECOND TO LOAD. All of these sites are less than 1 second and I don't even know if Google likes that shit and I don't even care.

    Fin
Geez, I was quite the blabbermouth just now wasn't I? Oh well, I will try to not suck ass and update this thread daily.

Looks good. Quick question: how did you get your keywords (1st project) to jump so quickly in that one week?

I purchased some links from SAPE a few weeks ago and I guess it finally kicked in.

    Update - Nov 8, 2016

I'm having trouble with SAPE since their FireFox Extension is having issues. Until that is resolved I can't be using SAPE which sucks since it works so well. OH WELL!

Luckily, there's other ways to get those good links, and probably safer too.
Let's go into what I did for each project.

    PROJECT: RUBBER DUCKY
I was actually able to buy a few SAPE links a few days ago before the FireFox extension was giving me issues. These links all had domain and brand as the anchor. I am hoping to see good results from this in a few weeks, hopefully more of my keywords will be in the Top 10.

    PROJECT: BANG BANG
Hate to say it, but I didn't do anything for this website today. Thinking about how to go about the link building for this one, maybe all at the homepage and hope that I interlinked it well enough for all the juice to flow. I would definitely build links to each inner page if I was a baller, but unfortunately I am under a budget.

    PROJECT: RED MOON
Wrote an article today targeting a set of keywords in the city I live in. Other than the homepage, the website hasn't been fully indexed yet. I did a fetch in GWT today and hoping that the website will start indexing.

I'm thinking more White Hat for this website. So none of that dirty links like SAPE for this one.
Once the website is fully indexed, I'm going to purchase some guest posting from a service for this site. All anchors will be naked url, brand, and some generic. All pointed to the homepage as well. Need to get that authority up!

Aw yeah, got that SAPE webmaster tool extension for FireFox working again. Time to buy some links for PROJECT: BANG BANG.

    PROJECT: RUBBER DUCKY
Rankings are still the same for most keywords. One keyword made it into the Top 10 for the first time today. Won't be doing much for this site until the end of November to wait for the power of the links to fully kick in.

I want to do a redesign for this website, but I'm worried that the new design might disrupt the rankings. I'm a moron for not doing the design properly in the beginning. DON'T BE A MORON LIKE ME AND DO THE DESIGN RIGHT IN THE BEGINNING!

    PROJECT: BANG BANG
Woke up to a nice surprise with one keyword appearing for #9. I guess those links I purchased actually did something. Going to see how it plays out for the remainder of the week. Will be purchasing some SAPE links for this website soon. I'll be targeting the homepage only with naked url, brand, and generic anchors.

After a few weeks, I'll start building some links with exact match anchors.

    PROJECT: RED MOON
Didn't get a chance to write any new articles for this project, but the website is full indexed right now. Which is fantastic since it's only a few days old and it seems like some members on this website is having trouble with indexing in general. Not to sure what they're doing though. Will do some more research tomorrow for any potential keywords in my local city.

Thanks mate! Quickly looking at majestic, looks like I have 153 RD. So probably more or less around there. Anchor ratio was 90% naked url, brand, and generic, with the remaining 10% as exact match.

    UPDATE - NOV. 11, 2016
    [IMG]
Alright, update time! Spent 90% of my efforts towards my first project in this journey, PROJECT: RUBBER DUCKY and the remaining 10% on the other two. I like how this is working and might continue this down the road. So it won't be that uncommon that I haven't done shit or barely anything for the other two.

    PROJECT: RUBBER DUCKY
Something is going on right now, the rankings are jumping around today. Could be the links I have bought in the past start getting indexed or the recently SAPE links I purchased could be doing something and Google is trying to sort it out again. I don't mind, this usually ends up with the project placing hire in the SERPs (knock on wood..).

I'm going to purchased some guest post for this project sometime next week, probably Monday. Going to have to see where this website is going to settle. It looks like I had a few clicks on my Amazon Native Ads, but didn't lead to any conversions yet. This is nice to see, at least there are some clicks going on. Just need to optimize the website better!

    UPDATE - Nov. 17, 2016
    [IMG]
So yeah, this journey isn't dead! Just didn't have much to update. Would be pretty boring updating the same thing every day right? Too bad I'm a fucking hypocrite because this update is pretty much the same as the last few ones.

    PROJECT: RUBBER DUCKY
Some SAPE link died, had to replace them. Pretty sure they were from the first batch because my rankings did drop a bit. The second batch hasn't kicked in yet, but over all the rankings for this month have been great. Overall improvement for majority of the keywords and looking forward to more results to come. Started to get some leads onto Amazon, too bad these assholes haven't bought anything yet. Oh well, need to get more traffic anyways.

I redesigned the website, it doesn't make me feel dirty looking at it anymore. The fonts look nicer, better layout, there's actually colour on this shit now (before it was black and white, legit), and just looks like some time and effort went into it. Had to do some minor changes to the theme itself, like how it sets a bunch of H1 by itself. Why the creator did this? I have no idea. I forgot to even mention that when my website was getting GZip to help with load time, the Amazon ads where being set to the bottom of the page. It was like that for so long, could have possible have more leads by now. Good thing I noticed it and fixed it.

    PROJECT: BANG BANG
This is like the neglected child in the family. I haven't done shit for this one since the last blast of 900 or so links. Rankings are coming and going and I don't know when the dust is going to settle for this one. Seems to have been doing this for weeks now. Oh well, I'll be buying some SAPE links for this one today and see if that will help stabilize it or do anything at all..

    PROJECT: RED MOON
The website is starting to rank for a few keywords, looks like keyword research paid off. Let me repeat that for any getting into SEO, KEYWORD RESEARCH PAID OFF. 0 Backlinks have been used for this website and it's a little over a week old. Going to wait a bit longer to see if any other keywords start to appear. Will get some links to the homepage by the end of this week for this website though.

Good updates. Keep up the good work, sales will come in. Make sure your sites are ready and that you follow Amazons rules or they will close your account after a first sale.

Thanks mate! After reading you comment, I went and added a disclaimer page and a contact form on all my Amazon Affiliated sites.
