Hi All,

Hope you are well :)

Any thoughts around how to handle Ecommerce category pages where the products are spread across multiple pages - for example: https://dogthings.co/collections/sitewide-sale?page=6.

Should all pages after the first page have a canonical tag pointing back to the original category page?

Kind Regards,

Alex

It's common to set up canonical tags for paginated category pages to point to the main category page. This consolidates link equity on a single URL and tells search engines that the main page is the most authoritative, helping to prevent dilution of ranking power across multiple similar pages.

Awesome - thank you! Appreciate the insight :)
