I want to use RSS feeds in my SEO strategy, but have a hard time understanding (a) what it is specifically and (b) how its beneficial for SEO.

Can someone please explain with some examples. That would be greatly appreciated!

RSS means "Really Simple Syndication". What's the purpose? It makes it easy for others to view your website's content in web apps, on their phones and 100s of different programs and devices.

How does it work? Well, it's a simple XML file that's generated with your content, relevant metadata is used to take your titles, date and other useful bits of information.

Now, how does it work for an SEO strategy? AFAIK, folks are just using it to easily scrap then spin content from other websites. A rather boring strategy - if you ask me.
