Hi all,

I'm in the process of incorporating my business (LLC). I am curious as to what kind of insurance other SEO agencies carry, if any.

Professional Indemnity Insurance seems to be the most logical type to carry, but I have no idea what kind of policy limits I should be looking into. I'd primarily be working with small - medium sized businesses.

Thanks!

Why would you like to do that. You need to find a lawyer that help you to draft the Terms and Conditions + contracts each of your customer must sign before you get started. There you make sure you can't be held responsible for anything so to say.

You LLC will protect you from the rest of liabilities.

Such insurance is most often something lawyers, accountants and insurance companies have.

Exactly! Why the hell do you want to provide insurance when you don't have it yourself?! Even if you are the best at SEO, it's still OUT of your control, because you have no idea what Google does or will do. There are too many variables out of your control that could go wrong and not give you the results you will promise to your clients - you may choose to refund them partly or not refund them at all, as it's stated in the contract (as you should have it!). But you can't be held liable for it.

Exactly the advice I was looking for. Thanks a lot guys. Really appreciate it!
