seo advice please

Hi guys. I'm looking for an idea to promote a deals coupon site. Beside spreading the links in a freebies forums, what else can I do? Will ******** blog comment backlinks be effective? Or you have another ideas?

if you want your site to rank well, the main ingredients are:
a good domain name (keyword rich)
lots and lots of quality backlinks
lots of traffic (see the next part)
lots of good, relevant content

if you want traffic, try posting EVERYWHERE you can. all the old tricks like yahoo answers, digg, reddit, CL, gumtree, blah blah blah will get you some decent traffic

Think of every link (even its its nofollow) not only as being good for SEO, but as a little doorway into your site. the mroe doors you have, the more people are gonna come in

You can also use social networking, Youtube and other video sites. There are tonnes of options for you.
