Have you noticed how long it usually takes for the full link equity to pass after setting up a 301?
In some cases, I've seen rankings bounce around for a few weeks before stabilizing. also, curious — have you ever compared 301 vs 302 in terms of crawl frequency or indexing speed?

For short-term uses like testing or seasonal redirects, 302/307 definitely makes more sense - although I've seen Google eventually treat long-running 302s as the same as 301s.

Yes, they will eventually treat it like that. Exact time-frame I do not know but I would say 1+ year.

301 passes permanent link juice. While 302 redirects works for temporary uses. Permanent redirect works better
