SENuke - Keyword Research question...

Using SENuke for keyword research, I set the competition type to allintitle:keyword.

So, when I type my chosen keyword into the "keyword to research" box, should I use my keyword with or without quotes?

It appears to make a lot of difference with some keywords. For example with "Keyword1" if I don't use quotes then SENuke says "Don't waste your time". But if I do use quotes it says "Doable".

On the other hand with "Keyword2", if I don't use quotes then SENuke says "Easy". But if I do use quotes it says "Don't waste your time".

Which method is best to use? The results are pretty contradictory and don't really let me know if it is worth perusing a particular keyword.

use the quotes because it shows your direct competition.

If using allintitle search I would say don't use quotes.
If you type your keyword into senuke with quotes and use the allintitle search feature. It will search yor keyword like this;
allintitle:"your keyword"
I think this defeats the purpose of using the allintitle search for your keyword.
When searching with quotes "your keyword" big G returns results that have your keyword phrase in the title or in the description of the the site and the phrase may not be your exact keyword. Or the exact keyword they are targeting.
An allintitle:your keyword search will return results with your exact phrase in the title and usually this means the site is targeting your specific keyword.
Now I'm not for sure what the hell allintitle:"your keyword" returns in G but with a couple of experiments it showed more competition than a "your keyword" search. I'm sure that this is not correct because an allintitle search always returns a fraction of the result than an "in quotes" search.

Searching for your competition with allintitle:"keyword" shows your competition who have your keywords somewhere in the title in the same order. However, these results are flawed so to speak.

The results with quotes and without quotes can be very different. I highly recommend you gauge your competition by using allintitle:keyword because this shows ALL your competition(sites who have your keywords somewhere in the title, but not necessarily all together).

Thanks for this. Best to choose one method and stick to it I guess. Makes sense to use without the quotes, so that is what I will do.
