Has anybody had success with using micro job type sites (MTurk, Microworkers, etc... http://workathomemoms.about.com/od/Micro-Jobs-Crowdsourcing/ss/Micro-Jobs.htm#showall ) to send cheap human traffic to your website thru google (people clicking on your site via the SERP seems to increase google ranking)?

If 100 people using Hola VPN with standard tracking blockers and javascriot disabled (so they appear to be normal US users by IP) search for your keyword, navigate thru the SERP pages until they find your site, and then click on your site, that *should* increase your site's authority / relevance in the eyes of the google algo, and that *should* increase your rank in the SERP. Lets say it costs 10 cents per person to find and click on your site. That's $1 for 10 views....$10 for 100 views. For keywords that get less than 1000 searches per month, $10 for 100 views (10% of search volume) should be enough
(plus some PBN backlinks, web2.0 backlinks, social shares, & youtube video links) to get onto the 1st page of google.

For the local Rank'n'Rent or high cost PPC (>$30) adsense niche websites, this should still represent a good ROI.

I'm just learning about the workflow, and wondering if this is a valid strategy?
Has anybody had success doing this recently?

Direct traffic would not help to increase SERP. If they search your keyword and then click your website, it would have great impact. But if google track you that you are just trying to manipulate google serp then your website gets manual penalty for spamming.

    the workflow is

    1) micro job employee Sara searches for your keyword on google.com
    2) Sara flips thru pages on google until they find your site (lets say on page 9)
    3) Sara clicks on your entry in the google SERPs (signaling to google that Sara preferred your search listing in the SERPs)
    4) Sara notes a code number found on your site and enters it into your micro job tracking software, confirming that she did visit your site...leaves your site, never to return, and gets paid 10 cents for her time/effort.
    5) repeat steps 1-4 with new users from the micro job sites (John, Alex, Andy, etc...)

These micro workers can earn $6-10/hour doing this kind of work...just mindlessly browsing the web and clicking links. Heck, i can hire a Filipino VA for $3/hour to do the same thing.

Since these are real people, really clicking on your link from google SERPs, google *should* increase your sites rank.
I was watching a webinar from Alex Becker at Source Wave, and he is selling a product that does this called Source Machine...but it seems kindof expensive...i'm sure he is doing exactly this with an army of VA's from the Philipines or an equivalent country...but inflating the price of the microworkers 3-4x, to represent his profit.

Since these micro workers are NOT instructed to click on your ads, this shouldn't be against adsense TOS (since we only get paid when people click on the ads...and if these people click on the ads, its because they choose to of their own free will)....and google will never know that these were "forced searches"...so it seems like a safe way to send human traffic thru the system.

\Now, if 2-3% of this traffic also clicks on our adsense ads...$$$$$$

It would depend on the competition , how many clicks you send . And other factors. Why not give it a try ?
