    yo fellow blackhatters

    I have a new domain and put some scraped content on it. Most of the pages were not indexed though. Then after some weeks I took a fine expired domain and put the same scraped content on it. Almost all pages got indexed fast.

    As it is the same content I am wondering now if I can use rel = canonical from the expired one to my new money site:

    page-1 on expired domain -----> page-1 on new domain
    page-2 on expired domain -----> page-2 on new domain

    (----> indicating rel=canonical)

    My idea is that I send the link juice from the expired domain to the new domain with rel = canonical because it has similar effects as a 301. Thus it should help to get the pages of the new domain get indexed and rank eventually.

    What do you think?

    If the page were in the same domain, i would use rel canonical, i that page is in other domain i'd use R301!
