Sending Facebook traffic to instagram

Has anyone ever used a facebook fan page to send traffic to an instagram? If so has it worked out well for you or did most people wind up not following the instagram

You gotta test it for yourself. I don't see a point because there both just social networks. If your promoting something, its better to make the people jump thru as little hoops as you can.

I definitely agree with that there's just some offers Ive been dying to promote on IG but I dont have the traffic source there to do so.

I don't think Instagram penalizes you for sharing a link in the same way that facebook does (limiting the amount of people that see it)
