Sending customers follow up written thank you letter?

    What do you guys think about the idea of sending a customer a follow up hand written thank you letter?
    I have a girl that does my content and support, so I'd just get her to do it. Also there is a company that does it for $3/card but that seems a bit expensive.
    My products are $100+, so it's not like I'm doing 50 per day or anything. But here's the thing, my customers are one time buyers, so it's not like they'll get this in a month and think "hey, I'll go buy something." So is it kinda a waste of time to do? Or is it a good way to brand and make a name for ourself?

    In today's time people got a very short attention span - they will forget about your business if you are not following up constantly.

    This can definitely help as far as customer perception goes. Don't think about them not returning to buy again but about the "word of mouth" customers you could get from going this extra step. If they think highly of the experience they had with doing business with you the more likely they'll tell their friends about you. It's little things like this that sets some companies apart from the others.
