    Anybody here see this today?

    Code:
    http://news.yahoo.com/22-minimum-wage-could-pass-congress-145204898.html

I can't even imagine how many fulltime jobs would become part time. Not to mention what would happen to prices of goods and services across the board.

that would force prices on everything to rise, generally it isn't a good idea, they should see about getting it to about $10 or something like in Canada.

    Sensational Title is Sensational.

Quote from article "Hold on a second there, economic conservatives: Neither Warren nor Dube was actually suggesting raising the minimum wage that high as a matter of public policy. Doing so in one go would crash companies and destroy jobs."

Yahoo is just doing what we all do and bending the truth so we will view their site.

The title is misleading, but Warren is an idiot, the people of Mass should've re-elected Brown over her.
In either case, she always does this type of hyperbolic grand gesture. She's an intelligent woman but her own philosophical ideals cloud her judgement and she's nothing more than a headline maker and antagonistic towards the financial institution.

Minimum wage is one of the most delicate things to set in a society, particularly in the US right now since it economic situation is still very fragile. Her logic in that article is flawed, extrapolating 1960s wages and blaming the ratio of utilisation vs wage on a mysterious "out-of-the-workers-pocket" rhetoric in which she *knows* isn't true.
