i know that semrush is more powerful, but i find kwfinder to be more effective for kw difficulty

    anyone else agree?

(also if anyone happens to understand semrush's kw difficulty score and why its always so much higher than kw finder, it would be great if you could shed light on that)

To me, Semrush looks like it's actually targeting kw competition for paid ads even though it's most likely not.

I'm using Semrush only to get a huge batch of keywords from my competitors so that I'm not really bothering brainstorming/scraping for keywords.

To answer your question: for keyword difficulty, kw finder is better. You can also give it a check to keyword revealer or keysearch co.

    thanks.
yea i agree with your answer
kinda annoying bc i have access to semrush subscription, but not kw finder. debating whether to shell out $29 for 1 month and do as much kw research as i can in 30 days...

KWfinder is much easier for doing only keyword research. Semrush has many more options for checking keyword competition etc.

im struggling to understand the kw difficulty metric they each use

semrush will give every keyword term about 75 to 90% difficulty
kwfinder gives a much wider range (more natural: 1 to 100% )

    Just register on KeySearch.

    http://keysearch.co/

They give you 50 free credits to check for difficulty, and 5 credits for keyword research.

But since you have semrush, I doubt you'll need it for the latter.

Additionally, you can try Keyword Revealer, as I see many people using it.
