Selling your articles - where?

In a lot of the threads about article writing I see experienced members recommending the less experienced to try selling their articles "independently" rather than going down the AC or similar route.

Where is a good outlet to sell your articles "independently"?

If you want some good cash and have a decent iTraders, try DP. If you are better and can live upto the expectations of the buyers, spend 20$ and make a thread here in BHW... You can also try WarriorForum or sitepoint.

You can also do a search for freelance/writing related forums and give yourself exposure that way also. Become a contributing member and link people to some samples of your work.

Try Constant Content. They are quite strict though.

The best way is to find clients in different forums.... however make sure you provide good samples and stress your writing quality as selling points. There are tons of writers out there selling content for ridiculous prices but most of them write horrible articles (ESL, grammar atrocities you name it)

This is how I did it... I made a website with sample articles, pricing, and a paypal checkout / shopping cart. I have email contact on the site, as well as being available on skype whenever I'm at my computer.

Start advertising your service where the people are, Internet marketing forums. Mainly Warrior Forums and DP will have the most people looking. Engage in conversation, help people out, impart your knowledge. All the meanwhile your signature is advertising your article writing service.

You'll start getting inquiries and orders in no time. Be sure to offer specials and maybe even do some cheap orders in exchange for testimonials.. Work hard, try not to get behind and you'll make a little extra cash. I used it to fund my other IM ventures.. Good luck!

Also OP, articles are sold anywhere from $2 - $20 a piece. So make sure you can justify your prices with the quality of your work. Clients already know that they get what they pay for.
