I'm doing relatively good with selling shoutouts but I'm sure I can sell way more.
I'm currently only selling trough DM.
    Barely getting kiked/emailed.

I'm thinking of starting a website to manage shoutout sells. Is it safe to have a link in bio on 320k authority page?

Is it more worth than selling directly to customers? ( experience needed )

Large shoutouts business I don't really know where it leads at the end...

    - Client that you don't really know pay you (not so mucj) for spamming you account (your hard work during few months, years...) with not really good stuff.
    - Your followers start to don't trust/like your account anymore
    - You lose interest, engagement and "good" followers
    - You have to work hard between each shoutouts to maintain the quality of your account (without shoutouts you should work less and less normallly)

In my opinion find few trusted clients with good content relative to your neach (not so easy to find) that it ! Because even if you have 1 millions followers your account can't hold up a lot of shoutouts without bad consequences.

I don't have experience in Instagram, but I know friends/competitors with Facebook pages that did it... they kill there page in few months (and never came back like before.... base on there growth, engagement...)

So I won't do that if I were you

he probably likes to make money and if you have a account this size it grows naturally quite good.
so no problem if some are leaving.
maybe its more successful with no shoutouts but then you habe just work and no income ......

You can sell you own products and services, it's quite better ! But of course if your instagram is a funny vine type (with stolen content) even if you have millions fans... no serious client (brand, famous people) work with you (it's a shame, because they pay a lot). You always work with other people like you that just want more fans (they don't pay much)

You can understand that only when is too late, so you sell your account to someone like you, and restart from the begining.

I don't say shoutouts is bad, but you have to do in intelligent way.

    That is what I tought.

I've tried selling some things, got very very bad results. I'm in the tattoo niche and don't know where to go when it comes to perfect monetization.
So because of this I'm selling shoutouts to mainly inked girls which want to get famous works pretty good and don't look so spammy at all.

Shutouts are a short term money-making solution, I would rather go with long term passive income as already suggested.

I don't see anyone going into that I'm in the tattoo niche, I believe no one has ideas for monetizing tattoos.

    When in doubt, research demographics!
I did a 5 second google search and I found this "[tattoos are] a marker for risk-taking behavior in adults." reference: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22153289

Statistics is where you should start, more specifically: researching the expected shopping behavior for people that have or want tattoos.

I think you don't have big accounts on IG otherwise you would understand my problem.
Especially when it comes to hard to monetize niches.
Sure risk taking adults, I could spam CPA offers selling the "rich in 10minutes shit" the usual. But it would definately kill my site.

I don't know you, but here you seems not "legit", you are not a tatoo artist ? Because if you were one, you never need shoutouts and you probably make money.

It's like a sport coach who have instagram account that talk about sport ! It's logic, a simple way to think business... and that work. Followers will call him to do sport, loose weight, whatever, he can also sale products... and he makes money

    Just think

    Correct.
But still, the answer is in the demographics..

@Extraduke has a point, it is all about the audience.
