Hi! This is something that I have thought on for a long time now.

What I want to do is to promote physical niche products from CJ as an affiliate via SEO optimized landing pages. The products I want to promote are most sport equipment like golf "putters", running shoes, etc.

I have heard that Wordpress sites rank better in Google, so I will use Wordpress to create landing pages for each product.

So what I'm wondering on is what I should do when it comes to SEO optimization for those landing pages? Should I create a lot of backlinks or should I focus on the keyword density on the landing page?

Thanks to everyone who helps me!

Google is slapping the shit outta thin affiliate sites and they have been for quite a while now. Your idea may seem like it would work but once it ranks, the risk of getting penalized is way through the roof.

The only affiliates that are keeping up are sites that provide good content and have more to them than the cloaked link.

I would strongly advise you to reconsider your strategy.

I am debating building mns's right now. Do they get slapped because of some crappy theme (clickbump, xfactor) and really bad English, really MFA sites, or just because of they have too few pages. I wonder if there is a penalty for pages < xxx. I personally don't believe quality unique content which is by definition of mns is highly targeted will get slapped.
