    So does this happen?

I get approached by brokers a lot saying they would give me $500 per sale...but that's just not worth it. They make $15K+ a sale and I sit and take $500?

Are people doing this? Selling leads to them? Is it worth it to create my own firm to sell leads to them?

Not leads like data....like actual leads.

I would sell the list per hundred or more based on a amount your comfortable with. Getting the 500 if they sell.... If you even find out and getting your money is another story. I would do 2000 leads for 1500 if you can show they are looking to buy in the area fresh and interested. What's cents for a lead that wants what your offering. Plus your not chasing ppl for cash.

Or you could do your research like a normal person

If you are in the states then you most likely need to have a real estate license to make more money with the leads. As a real estate associate you pass on the leads to the listing agent or broker and receive a referral fee, which could be like 20%-40% of the listing agent's side.

How would they verify they're "real" leads? That's your problem... Maybe make a relationship with a few brokers. Asking for $500 for the lead and then an additional pay out if the lead converts into a sale or listing. I think you will need to be a little more involved then just passing a person off to some one.

without being even a real estate associate you're lucky to be offered $500 for a lead, the real money is making the lead a referral

That's where I'm confused...will they need a contract of the selling price? What do they need

basically if your lead turns into someone that actually sells their home or buys one, then you get a referral fee, which can be around 20%-40% of the listing agents/brokers side.

now how much you get for the referral depends on who you give the lead to. if you give the lead to a sales associate, then you have to wait for the broker to take their cut before you get the referral fee from the agent.
if you go straight to the broker then you could net much more.

in the states though, it's illegal to receive any commission like that unless you have a license. that's probably why you're being offered a chance to sell just leads

Yeah but i mean, it will take me less than 4 weeks to get a license lol.....

So, literally i don't have to do shit...just get the lead....if the leads convert, i make 20%-40% of the 2.5% fee?

correct! take your courses, pass the tests, pay your fees, and then you are legally ready to be rolling in dough (assuming you really can bring in leads that convert to clients in one way or another)

$500 per lead is way to much. I agree with Nick. More like $7-10 per lead.

My mom has fb ads going and getting leads. Costs around $3-$5 per lead on FB. Plus you need someone to run the ads and you can probably get a company to run the fb ads for about $350-$500 per month plus cost of advertising.

Let's say $500 a month to agency setting up ads and managing. $30 a day - 6 leads a day. Comes out about $7.77

Thats how cheap a real estate agent could get leads and not doing anything except paying. Or if they run ads themselves they can get $3 per lead.
