    Hi everyone.

I recently tried to go to a website that I used to spend a lot of time on in the past. But when I typed it in, I saw that the site no longer existed. After checking NameCheap, I saw that the URL was actually available! I thought about it for a while, then bought the domain for $10.99. I want to try and put together a site on this, and hopefully make some money. It's an adult website and domain, so the competition will be VERY tough.

This is a good domain, though. It was an old and well-established site; I can remember visiting this site almost 10 years ago. I can see why someone would want this domain name.

My question is, is it possible to just resell the domain to someone who wants it? For more than $10.99? I mean yes, my current plan is to create a site on it and try to build it up a little bit, but if I can get a decent profit by just reselling it and not having to do anything, I'll take that and focus on other projects.

    Is this possible? Thanks!

If its a really good domain, sure, you can sell it for some profit.
But do not expect a lot of money just for a domain... people seem to be more interested in established website unless, like I said, you're selling them a pretty damn good domain.

    Yeah definately its worth alot

    As its an aged domain

YOu can sell it in more than 11bucks .

But if you want alot of profit then i suggest you

to build a site and have some link building and flip it .

Surely it's possible, just a domain, not site, can be sold, IF IT'S GOOD.

There are lots of domain auctioned in Flippa, and I have seen awesome prices for the domain-only listing.

Again, if the domain is good and as you told, well-established, the possibility is high the domain end sold.

Apart from Flippa you can also try to sell it at SEDO.

There's a huge business in selling domains. If your domain is good, it may cost $XX,XXX or more.

Domaining is big business. If you have a good domain name and the right buyer you're set.

Try Sedo or Dnforum. Do your research before selling.

Yeah I've sold some domains for high 4 figures in the past, but it's getting harder and harder. Still, there's potential for money if you find an awesome domain.

Rule of thumb: if its pretty short, pronouncable, and you think its awesome yourself, it will probably sell well.

Of course you will always make more money if you have a site built with it that is doing well, but that almost goes without saying :)

Of course it is possible, one point to note though is did you register it recently as I don't think you can sell it straight away?

Anyway, your best bet is Flippa unless you're willing to approach a domain broker, either way you should get a good price!
