Since you won't be receiving any type of 1099 from anyone it's unlikely you would come under the IRS radar for 'that particular income'. Would depend more on how much you're actually making, who you piss off (ex-girlfriend/boyfriend), whether you like to brag, go to tax protester meetings and forums, etc. as to whether or not you would be found out.
If you did come their scrutiny for whatever reasons they could always do a means test on you, if you're living above your declared income I'm sure it would peak their interest. Then add the fines, penalties and possible jail time for fraud. Let your conscience be your guide.
