I'm new here and have just been looking around. I was wondering how many of you thought that selling counterfeit smokes is a good idea. By counterfeit smokes I mean counterfeit cigarettes and Cuban cigars. Here are a couple of questions for you guys..

#1 - Where could I get cheap counterfeit cigarettes?

#2 - If I was able to get my hands on some very good counterfeit Cuban cigars...where should I go to sell them?

    Thanks...appreciate any help.

    Well
Im not gonna lie and i have a hookup for some "cuban" cigars
Basically my friend whos a prominent criminal defense lawyer defended the guy and he at one time smuggled cuban tobacco into Usa and grows it and makes cigars

As close to cuban as you can legally get i say ;)

I could always get you more details. He actually has a legitimate business, dont really know him all to well but my buddy the lawyer does. so idk about good prices i can get but he can. If you pm me i can actually do some research on it for you

The cigars are supposed to be VERY good quality.. but im not a connoisseur of cigars.. at all so i have no clue if they really are, but thats just what i know about the guy.

For some reason I can't seem to send private messages.

I was also wondering how people sell Cuban cigars? Where would one start? Would local tobacco shops be interested in buying and then turning them over for a profit?

Also, I hear about all of these counterfeit cigarettes coming over from China, but how does one get a hold of them? How does one purchase counterfeit cigarettes from China for a cheap price?

    Thanks again :)

Importing them in to the USA will surely get your ass burned one day. Better make sure you have a contact inside the US or make them yourself.

place for fake fags is alibaba.com or other sites like that just search b2b sites lots of the pople in there will rip you off so make small orders at first and apparently the fags arent too good quality. if you ask, most of the china suppliers will give you free replacement if they get seized. you can also get bulk tobacco and fag making machines on there. hope this helps

    Thanks guys. Is alibaba.com a reliable/trusted website?

I looked at the prices of cigarettes on that site and they seem to say US$8-18 ..what exactly does that mean?

Secondly, I was wondering how safe it is to order cigarettes like these off the internet. Could there be serious repercussions for something like this? What could happen if seized?

Making a contact with someone in the US would be ideal, but very hard to do.

    Thanks again

Cuban cigars will lose almost all prestige within the year. If you have been following the politics concerning US & Cuban relations since Fidel passed the torch to his brother has greatly improved. Some trade embargoes have since been lifted and once the american "forbidden fruit factor" no longer applies neither will the outrageous ROI or the demand because you will simply be able to walk to any corner and get yourself a cuban. But being you considered to sell these you should know that, even counterfeit ones. Here's a few from my collection gents. feast your eyes on the glory. And of course these are all real! Thank me now for saving you alot of wasted time. ;)

I was in Cuba last year for a vacation for a week and let me tell you I feasted on a case of 20 Cuban cigars while I was there and then brought 2 cases back. There is no comparison between Cuban cigars and any other kind.

I think you guys are right about the Cuban cigars. It seems like a very small niche anyways, and would be hard to sell.

However, the cigarette idea seems very attractive. I'm a bit intrigued by alibaba.com.

I do have a few questions for you all...

#1 - Which method of payment would you all recommend when buying from someone off of alibaba.com?

#2 - If ordering from alibaba.com what is the chance that your package will be seized? And if it is, what are the legal repercussions?

    Thanks again :)

on alibaba you need to find a supplier who has the product you want, send them a message asking for prices on the quantity, ask if they will guarantee arrivial, ask for pictures and normally with cigarettes they offer different grades of quality (from china at least) i suggest getting a sample sent to you, see if they will do this for just the cost of the courier, get a sample of each grade to see difference. This will give youan idea of if the supplier is genuine or not, most are fine but some are scammers. I sold lots of research chems the past year using mainly alibaba to source from and i had a couple of pckages seized coming in to the uk, they were seized for being labeled as a different chemical and that was the end of it, just a letter saying it was seized. However i dont know here youre based but if large amounts of fags were seized i would expect a visit from customs so dont keep stock at your house. small amounts in the uk i would expect you'd have to pay tax on them or just have them confiscated. another option is dropshipping, i.e. get them hipped straight from your supplier to the customer, this way you have no link to it as long as you use secure email etc. because they may take their computer if they investigate. sorry for the spelling mistakes think my keyboard is playing up lol

Thanks for the response Chris. Well, I'm located in the U.S. I have found some suppliers on alibaba..probably would be best to order from a "gold supplier" on there. And some have offered to send samples.

Having cigarettes seized sounds like a problem. And once they are seized, does that mean you're out the money you paid? Also, how many cartons is a safe amount to get shipped? Would 50 be overboard?

    Thanks

I never had problems buying from people who werent gold suppliers but yeh to be on the safe side i suppose its probably worth it, its best to ask the supplier about safe amounts, like i said i never bought cigarettes not my scene, US may be strict, and probably best to speak to a lawyer frist too, just to know what your risking i know for the uk theres a site called contactlaw who are very good at answering legal questions and they recommend solicitors in your area who specialise in what you need, sure there's something similar in US. Just for the record i'm definately not encouraging illegal practices, this is for informational purposes only I suggest if you want to import tobacco you should pay tax on it, good luck with your business

also everyone i dealt with in the chem industry offered a free replacement if it was seized maybe they would do the same if you maybe tell them you've been quoted a good price from another supplier and theyve given this assurance

I just commented about this on another thread. I ha...It has been alleged that I did stuff like this and Ill lay out the good and the bad for you. I live in a U.S. state where smokes are $8.00 a pack. SUCKFEST!

Ill start with the Cubans since this is what this was about.
    1) Go To Canada on vaction Cubans widely available.
    2) Buy Cubans and most cigar shops there will also have Ecuador boxes to put them in.
Remove the Cuban labels from the cigars and mailt hem to yourself.
    3) Travel safely home with the "El Producto de Ecuador" Box.
    4) Reassemble sell
No on to why its hard sell
    1) Everyone in the U.S. will automatically think they are counterfeit even if you show them you airline boarding pass and not want to give you god money for them.

Fun Ecuador fact: It is one of the South American countries that have Dollarized. Meaning the Dollar is an official currency accepted alonside whatever they use. The value of the money is permanently pegged to the $

    2) One of the only things Cuba has had going for it as a way to get hard $ over the last 50 years is Cigars. They have overproduced on that soil and Cubanos are not what they were 50 years ago. At least this is what I have been told by several people including AVO Uvezian himself when I drove him in my taxi. Yes I drove AVO if you do not know AVO then google it.
    3) Its so easy your not the only one doing this. Also ever hear about the tunnels accross the Mexico border? Think there really isnt any on the North Border?

    On to the Cigs
    1) No matter how good the packageing looks different countries use different Tobaccos. Ask any European and they will tell you Eurocigs are sheet compared to 20 CLASS A VIRGINIANS. There is a reason why we are the number 1 Tobacco producer in the world.
    2) Any sales you make will be hit and run sales only. No repeat business make sure to do it at least 1 town over. I found the easiest way (completely theoretical talking here I never actually did this nor would I condone the breaking of any state local or federal law that has its own enforcement agency)is to take 3 or 4 cartons to a large housing project and sell for .50 above costs. Move em. Move Em. Move Em. Move em.

Dont bring too many to the projects. Dont make deals for larger purchases its either a law setup or the PJ people wanting to empty your pockets.

I like the GoodFellas inspired idea and you canmake some money but... not all that easy.
