Sooo I've sold a number of sites on another forum I'm somewhat active on, and things have always gone smoothly. Most of my buyers are respected members of the forum, and long time members as well.

Now, I have a site I'm selling currently, and someone is interested in it. He isn't too active on the forum and such (not saying that makes him a scammer). But it does make me want to be a bit more cautious.

Now, he is planning to pay via PayPal. Is there any precaution I can take so that he doesn't end up filing a dispute?

Tried looking around the "site Flipping" section but couldn't really find anything similar this.

    What do you guys think?

If he isn't too active on forum then try any other way to recieve money as there is a chance of him filing dispute on paypal. Its good not to take these risky chances:)

Download the site and mail it to him on a disk with UPS so you have a tracking number and so on.

So if he does dispute it you can show paypal that you mailed the item and he got it that is all they really look for.

if you email the files over you have really no way of showing it.

Hm, I see another member says that a donation cannot be cancelled. Anyone else have experience with this? Obviously, Escrow is the best option. But what if I were to have him pay through a donation button? Would he be able to file a dispute?

i would never sell websites using paypal. I will always use escrow services, as there are to many scammers right now. Or i would accept if he cents payment up-front

Well he is obviously going to pay upfront, but my concern is him filing a dispute after. What sort of fees does Escrow charge?

To always win (except in one case) with Paypal, send the site files on a CD and send it to the Paypal confirmed address with certificate and tracking number. You should be good (except in one case that I don't want to tell to avoid scammers to use it)
