My account has had near 900 seller feedback in the past 12 months . Ive had a few people cancel their orders because either the item had a defect , they changed their mind etc. The account is also 3 year old which is alright too, but because I went below standard my listings no longer rank in the "best match" ( default ) search filter and the majority of sales I get are from my 150 followers . ( not so many , 1 or 2 per day ) I tried numerous ways to get back my rank and it doesnt work , even boosting my items by buying them from other accounts doesnt get them ranked anymore .

Is it time for a new account ? Why is ebay so fucked ? I mean below standard is 2% and above standard is 0.50% ? 0.50% is near impossible for Christ sake .

Here are my options that I figured could work but idk if they truly will .

First of all create a listing for 1$ ( so I pay minimal taxes )
use a second account to buy that listing 200 times ( my limit )
and I have to do two months in a row , and even after buying it 400 times I I calculated my defect rate would go at 1.92 , which is pretty close to two .

Do these rates reset themself in a certain period of time ?

I don't really know what to do , someone please help .

I mean I could always open another account but it would take another year to get it to this level + new accounts start with 10 items per month , retarded funds on hold etc.

Ebay ranking is pretty messed up. I know it would suck to start a new account,it might be the way to go without spending money. If you have the money to spend with buying from 2nd account than do that. I wish you the best of luck the..stick with it

These shouldn't affect your metrics if you accept a return and refund within the accepted seller resolution time. One of my accounts has a return rate of over 12% and it still has Top Rated Seller badge.

I don't mean that . I mean I mean that i've had people add something to their cart and not pay for it so I cancel it myself and tell ebay I'm either out of stock for that item or the buyer has asked me to cancel the order simply because I dont wanna pay fees for something that wasn't paid for by the buyer and ebay is using that against me . I also had a guy who bought quite a few items from me and started charging back after I had already shipped them, I did not agree with his charge backs and opposed his claims and I even won on ( Paypal ) that is . On ebay it counts as a case that I didn't respond to . Everything else I have , all of my other metrics all on above standard level , my feedback is 97.8% positive, its just this messed up defect rate .

I just tried opening a second account , I tried increasing the seller limits using "my already eastablished account " , but it's not established enough by ebays rules. God I hate ebay so much.

You're just F'ing things up so bad on your end and it is not eBay's fault. This is pretty much all on you.

First of all WHY CANCEL ORDERS WITHOUT CUSTOMER REQUEST? That's pretty much the only thing on eBay that will get you a defect no questions asked. In eBay's eyes this is the worst thing you can do because it means that you can't come up with the merchandise to ship and eBay hates people making listings without the items being available to ship.

If you had opened a non paying bidder case like a normal seller instead of canceling transactions from your end, your selling fees would be automatically returned if the customer doesn't pay. This has been the rule for years.

A buyer has to return the items once you approve a return or they claim NAD before eBay will give you a defect. If a customer claims non delivery or NAD, you have the customer return the item before you refund. If you didn't do that, (and it sounds like you didn't) of course you'll get a ding for not responding.

That's like Charles Manson is a good guy, except the time he had a bunch of people killed. DSR's? Doesn't matter. Feedback? Doesn't matter.

Why would you do that when you can just buy a stealth account for a couple hundred bucks?

It's not ebay's fault that you didn't know how ebay works. Next time learn the rules before you get all angry about it.

Canceling sales that haven't been paid for but yet complain about defects? There's many tools to use for situations like that, there's item assistants, case items, Don't cancel items, that's one of the worst things you can do to your account.

eBay sees it like you're not in stock on your listed items, and that means they're not getting paid IF the buyer even chooses to pay. That's a problem. Consequently, they give other sellers chances that want to sell regardless instead of sellers like yourself that are doing bad judgements.

Alright , I will call ebay tomorrow and tell them all of that so they removed those so called defects , if not I will do it the other way where I buy 400 1$ listings from myself . I just hope they dont say anything tomorrow , after they see the 20 1$ items my second account has bought from my main. Either way I am very good with words , I have conviced ebay emploeys to ban legit sellers in the past and won paypal chargebacks where the person filing it had all the "proof" . Ive already come up with the PERFECT story and proof in case im asked. Everything should be normalized and now that I know ebays rules completely im invincible .

I always plan things but I never really care about site rules, Ive earned so much money online and been on so many sites but ebay is the first one where without reading the rules I get fucked . Usually rulez are obvious for various sites , ebay is on another level of rulez filled with excuses to punish smaller businesses . All they have is those stupid chinese sellers making 1 cent per order lol , I make 10$+ per order.

You really want to be banned from selling on eBay don't you? Low price item padding is somewhat risky now.

Yup, I guess you do. Do you think eBay does not see that you started a second account that you linked YOURSELF?

You seriously think you know eBay's rules completely? Jesus...

phone call was made and things were fixed . They said my seller dashboard will update on Tuesday. :)

Sure there are rules , but how could I have known about those rules ? Ebay emploeys understood that when I told them my story and there was no lies btw . I just told them I've had transactions that I had to cancel and I didnt know the reason for cancelling made a difference.
