    Hi all,

I own a girls tattoo site which get about 55k+ visitors/month.
I'm thinking of ways to monetize it..maybe by selling banners space?
Can you give me some tips on this?
    How much is it worth?

Or, of course, if you got any other ideas - always glad to hear.

    Tnx,

    Uri

I have a tattoo site as well with daily traffic of 1,000 to 1,500. I put in adsense but only received less than 10 clicks daily.

I then placed some clickbank products including tattoo images idea and tattoo removal ebooks, but never sell even 1 copy.

I think most visitors go to the tattoo sites just want to see the tattoo picture only. Therefore, I think tattoo is rather hard to get any conversion. I would think the only way to make money is sell off my site at Flippa.

Have a look to see if you can find any affiliate products for tattoo removal or similar. I'm sure they'll be something, and you'll make a killing from that, compared to adsense or selling banner space.

Perfect for your site. With a 1% conversion ratio you'd be making $280 a day.

    Tnx for that Abstroose!

How should I, as you see it, promote this product?
Should I use popups or just an add at the header?

I wouldn't suggest popups. You could create a banner, or check out the affiliate product to see if they offer banners to use. Alternatively, if your site has a registration system, you could establish a mailing list and send emails with your affiliate links.

lol... OP must be crazy to be asking for $600 per month for the top banner slot. Given its Alexa at 1.8million, I even doubt it got 55k visitors per month, looks more like less than 100 per day.

mointernet - it's a shame you say things without any understanding.
The site may have a low alexa rank, but it gets more than 55k/month.

    There's no point posting this.
Please, if anybody got an idea for me, a professorial one, I'll be glad to hear.

Another idea for the affiliate marketing - if you're site has a blog (or if it doesn't, you could add one), and post a 'review' of the affiliate product. Make it sound real good and post your affiliate link at the end. You'll get tons of conversions.

Whats your tattoo site? Tattoo sites have low conversions, but still, 55k/month can be converted good.

Then keep adding to the blog with good unique content related to the tattoo industry. Keep looking for other tattoo related products and every 4 or 5 articles do another product review article. You don't need to hammer out several articles a day. Even just one new article per week would be sufficient. That would put it at a month to month and a half between the review articles. Once you have a few products being promoted you could even cut back from that and just use rotating ad blocks to randomly present ads for those products on your other pages.

By leaving the general site as it is will keep visitors coming to the site, if you make it look interesting then many of those visitors will check out the blog. By posting the general ontopic information on your blog it makes it look non-commercial, by including the reviews it gives you a chance to make sales on a lot of different tattoo related products. By creating rotating ad blocks you can keep just a small amount of ads turning up on any page. That keeps the site from looking spammy like it's created just to sell some product. If it looks like the ads are there as a benefit for your visitors they might be a little more likely to convert. The ads can either go straight to the product sales page, or link to your review article and from the article link to the sales page.

You might not make a lot on any individual product, but the combined list of products promoted might make a significant amount of money.

Not making any promises, but if it were my site that's how I'd approach it.

He said he already tried adsense and it didn't do well on that site.

CPA could probably do well though. Especially if he were to do some kind of content locking. He'll lose a lot of visitors that way, but his conversions from the ones that still want the content might be pretty good.

If it were me I think I'd still try adding the blog and product reviews first because it's a better long term method. If he wants to make quicker money though then content locking with a cpa offer might be a good way to go.
