Sell a Product Anonymously?

Hey BHW,

I was wondering if you guys could help me out...I'm in a niche with a hungry market and I'm competiting with a huge company.

I want to create a second site to go completely Black Hat to get a lot more traffic. It's a quality product, I just don't want to risk my rep in this niche by being overly aggressive.

I figured, these are the 3 ways to cover my tracks

1.) Domains by Proxy - So contact info is not in WhoIs

2.) Dedicated Server - So I can't be reported to my host

3.) Do all BlackHat techniques behind a VPN/Proxy


Am I missing anything?

RE: Point 2, Even if your site is on a dedicated server you can still be reported to your host because they are still hosting it.

If you have a good enough connection to your home (or find somebody else that does), you could consider hosting it yourself then you cut out the hosting company

Well, hosting it yourself isn't the only available solution. You can host offshore and many offshore hosts actually gladly forward all complaints to you so you can laugh a bit, tease lawyers..etc..lol, but bottom line, most of them won't give a damn when it comes to complaints.
Also maybe I'm ignorant here, but I didnt get what you meant by 'domains by proxy'. If you want to be anonymous with domain registars, use a proxy, register using crap info, turn on private whois and pay via gift cards/vouchers..etc for maximum anonymoty.
