I am member of *******, peerfly and adscendmedia.

I have heard members here saying they all shave and I tend to agree since peerfly usually do that out of personal experience.

What is currently the most trustworthy cpa network :) please help me

I have been handling affiliates and affiliate programs since 2000 and the only time I knew that I wasn't shaved...was when I ran all of it. I was running over 100 affiliates at one time and no matter how crappy they are...the first thing they scream is "I was shaved!" My programs payed well and I had a reputation for always paying and not shaving. It is funny in the affiliate world...all you have to do is the bare minimum and people will praise you for being awesome! Just do what you are supposed to do...and people think you are Ghandi. It got extremely difficult. People would pad in tons of fake or shitty leads....get paid for them....and we would blow up a client because of it.

In order to accomplish this feat...they would antisipate that x% of your leads were crap.

These networks have clients to keep happy. In order to keep these clients happy, they have to accept returns from the bogus leads that get inserted into the system...from antis or from the spammer himself. If every marketer was mature and showed the ability to be reasonable and not be so quick to cry foul....then most of these networks would have no problem just processing returns instead of shaving up front. The problem with returns is that nothing makes marketers more pissed (including myself). It is much much easier to show they earned 20 leads when the real number was 25 simply to avoid the confrontations that happen with every returned lead that came in. With real networks...this is not so much an act of dishonesty as it is an act of psychology. In my example....At the end of the day....in most cases...you will get paid for 20 leads (give or take). It is much easier to see your earnings and KNOW what you are getting...than to see your earnings and get paid less than that because of returns.

The good solid networks don't need to shave you to make money....but they do need to make sure they aren't paying you for leads/sales that will cause them to lose clients or get returned. There are obvious scammy fake networks that are our to screw you....but the good ones will have significantly more people vouching them than the kiddies who cry "shaved." If you have been in the game long enough...you will know to build this into your own calculations.

I suppose that there are many people that try to earn some money by using a variety of BH technices which of course, the advertiser will not want to pay for. This is reasonable of course.

On the other hand, when a network admits that you can lose leads based on the quality, it can raise the question as to what is a quality lead for network A and B and how objective is the whole thing since quality is judged by the one that pays.

It is always better to split campaigns and find offers that exist in many networks. This way, you can see what is going on. I dont know whether you can be shaved based on your affiliate id ( i suppose its a way) but running it from multiple networks might give you some answers.

In the same way that publishers can cheat, i dont see why advertisers and networks would not. Its money that everyone is going for.

Remember OP, much of the time it's the advertisers shaving leads and not the networks specifically.

Thats correct its the advertisers end that shaves because they have to make sure they are not spending more than they are earning.

Most affiliate networks used hosted solutions with too much integrity to shave. Example hasoffers or direct track won't allow shaving or they'd be out of business.

Advertisers Absolutely shave it's dead simple. Have a simple php script to only fire the affiliate networks conversion pixel x % of the time. Payout 80, 90, 95 percent by CPA network or sub id.

FaceSeller - I believe you contacted me yesterday regarding incent traffic. We have a great Auto Insurance lead gen offer and some others. We are a CPA network and have been in business for 2 years, but haven't done any advertising (our website is still a login screen for our tracking system). I'm the former VP of Mediatrust and Epic Advertising if that gives any credibility. Since I have under 15 posts, I can't seem to respond to you through private message. I'm at julianm at g mail. Is there any way I can get a hold of u?

You can PM me and I can accept you into mine. However, it's usually the advertiser doing the shaving and there isn't much you can do about it. Best to play around with different ones.

I think shaving is plain stealing.

Can you imagine if this ever gets to court....
just imagine trying to explain to a jury of hard working people that, well, you just decide not to pay if the lead is not up to par with your secret standards.
because after all the leads did not end up buying your shitty azz product
    so they must be bad...
and of course they are going to believe that you are a legitimate business person when its mentioned that YOUR OFFER was the one that offered a FREE IPAD for just inputting your email

good luck with that shit... and be prepared to have a new azzhole cut unto you by the courts.
