Matt Cutt Says "Of course, most sites affected by this change aren?t so blatant. Here?s an example of a site with unusual linking patterns that is also affected by this change. Notice that if you try to read the text aloud you?ll discover that the outgoing links are completely unrelated to the actual content, and in fact the page text has been ?spun? beyond recognition: " and Gave Sample Screent Shot

Nice observation buddy. Looks you are doing extensive research on his statement. Even I checked many drupal platform, where people target link with such content and I could see them ranking even now. But it could be because of many factor like your link portfolio percentage from such post. Say you have 100 quality links and 10 such spammy links, G might not take that as serious for negative seo.

I totally agree with you. It seems like this panda update focused on crappy contextual backlinks, because I have a few websites with only SB and BMD backlinks and they seem unaffected by this update. But maybe they get slapped soon as well, who knows...

The site may survive for a day or two but the new algorithm update will likely wipe that site out and many others in the coming days.

I agree, what will be interesting is how/where it takes a hit, will it be removed totally etc. Then reverse engineer the new changes

The only thing i see is that, the Sample of Matt Cutts is using a keyword base link while the other is not using a keyword base links. SO it means that its still good to use links but making sure its not keyword base. It that way, your site may rank

I can show you many sites getting anchored or raw url backlinks from content unrelated to their website niche

to OP: they just started the update, it will take few days to complete the roll out of new panda update.

to me, this is half bad and half good, this update auto took out A LOT of my competitors on the main keywords but i got one of my keywords deindexed as well

This is targeting sites that were using blog networks. I have websites with web 2.0 profiles and blog comments untouched and others with blog network links totally killed.

    Yup - good research buddy.

It might just be that some numb nuts at Google central pressed the wrong button. Because the rankings for many niches now are just plain fecked up and make no sense at all. They contradict Google's own statement of intent at almost every point.

The only way Google can stop blackhat sites from not ranking is to Manually shut it down from serps. The Google algorithm is corrupt and will always be corrupt. There is no way they can make code to out match us humans. Its just not possible.

Exactly - too clinical to have been done with a bot. Too precise - just half a dozen networks where other networks were not touched.

Hell - watch out for the 3rd generation of link automation software and adaptations to the best of the third generation software coming in the next 6 months.

Nuke, Xrumer, Demon and some others will prosper - adapt and survive. But shit services and applications will lose out (always have - always will)

    REST ASSURED GOOGLE - WE ARE FIGHTING BACK - WHILE YOU SPEND MILLIONS ON TRYING TO BEAT US, HERES A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT WANNA CONSIDER;

    • THERE ARE MORE OF US
    • WE ARE LIGHT FOOTED AND CAN RESPOND REALLY QUICK
    • WE HAVE MORE TIME
    • BY THE LOOKS OF YOUR LAST CLUSTERFUCK UPDATE...WE'RE A DARN SITE SMARTER THAN YOU.
    • WE WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO WIN - YOUR RULES DON'T APPLY TO US. WE DO NOT RECOGNISE YOUR ETHICAL POLICIES.
    • WHILE YOU SPEND MILLIONS ON STAFF AND PROCESSES TO WIN - WE WILL RESPOND WITH TOOLS 10X MORE POWERFUL THAT COST A FEW HUNDRED BUCKS
    • THIS IS OUR INTERNET

Ok - sorry for the grandstanding, but this update (which BTW i did ok out of all told) is still a sign that the "mighty Google" really hasn't got a frigging clue and based on it's performance as a search engine over the past few months has no business based reason at all to be thought of as number one in the search engine field.
