Anyone here ever studied seduction and found how well it ties into marketing?

Especially people like David Deangelo. Really worth spending some time on for those of us in the IM field!

The two tie in together more than you can imagine. I got started with secuction, it lead me to marketing. Know what makes one of them work and you will know how to do the other.

It's funny you should mention it luminus. One of me favorite topics. I think seduction is a very important part of marketing.
Apple doesn't get people to take time off their jobs and raid their piggy banks for a new "iPhone"
without practically seducing the pants off of them. Look at the name of the item:
"iPhone". One of the main principles of of seduction is that the most important person to anyone you communicate to is Always: their Self.
iPhone, iPad, iBook. You, you, you and we love it! :D I'm only using Apple
as an example. There are examples of seduction in every aspect of life. Takes
a whole lot of seduction to get people to watch hours of TV everyday. The new generation of smart phones are flatter and flatter not just
because of convenience, its also that marketers have convinced us our phones aren't as sexy as that of our mates if they aren't as flat with as many features.

In marketing, even marketing of a office products or stocks, the item is called a loser if it isn't "sexy".
Absolute best book on the topic I've ever read is The Dark Art of Persuasion by Dave Lakhani. He's a marketing pirate in every sense of the word. :pirate:

Oh yes I have and I have found that they are deeply related. Human psychology has both business and personal applications. However, for more concrete business advice from the likes of David DeAngelo, I would look into programs by his business persona - Eben Pagan. I really like his stuff.
