Secure deposit for services over 500usd

What do you think when the vendors need make a additional deposit that if something goes wrong the deposit goes to his "clients"?

BHW consensus seems to be against an escrow system and I would imagine the same applies here. SL is a pretty good system but the consequence of not paying is a ban. BHW starting to decide compensation here and there requires far more trust in the system.

Other forums do have escrow systems but the 'jumble' of services that may or may not be of a good quality is part of the charm of BHW.

But, what if something goes wrong like 2000 USD or higher ?

Of course a escrow service would be the best way.
I am sure the BHW team have a good reason why they dont have it.
Which i dont understand as with BTC it is super simple to handle.
