A normal Clickbank link looks like this, where the ?xxxxx? is replaced with the affiliate link, and the second part ?yyyyy? is the name of the merchant:

    Code:
    xxxxx.yyyyy.hop.clickbank.net
The format for the Clickbank affiliate link is changed to the following so that you bypass the merchant page, and instead take your PPC prospects directly to the order page:

    Code:
    1.xxxxx_yyyyy.pay.clickbank.net

    IMPORTANT:

The product number (usually the 1 but you need to check and see what the merchant is using)
xxxxx: Your ClickBank ID (you MUST include the underscore between your ID and the Merchant ID)
    yyyyy: The Merchant ID

Be careful about bypassing the salespage as this can get your account easily terminated. If you have a legitimate reason (Salespage looks like crap) let the Vendor know that you will be using a different webpage or it can come back to bite you.

If you use this directly with PPC wouldn't this hurt your conversions anyway, I mean can you really sell someone an $XX product solely based on the content of an ad copy with limited characters? Besides that being unrealistic, I don't think stupid people have money.

You wouldn't want to go directly from PPC to the pay url. You would either go from an alternative sales page (Yours) or your review of the product, etc.

This is what I was going to say....there has to be some kind of frowning on this somewhere in clickbank. You'd think that they don't give a damn how you get traffic to the "buy" page, but from what I've heard/read/etc they seem to want you to do it their way no matter what. Perhaps they believe you are taking hits away from the vendor page and throwing their hit/conversion rates off.

So are you penalized for bypassing the sales page? Like JayC71 said, they should not give a damn how they get their piece of the pie.

But then some of the merchants may not like direct linking... in case the sales page sucks.. definitely you should pre-sell the visitor & take him directly to the payment page

if the buyer visited the product sales page with someone's affiliate link within 30days, and you send them directly to payment page, will your cookie get passed?

Just tried using the code to bypass the merchants page and I got

    Code:
    [B][COLOR=#cc0303]IMPORTANT![/COLOR][/B]

This product is no longer for sale or has been disabled due to a terms of service violation
Tested 3 times with 3 different products and still got above error. Anyone know of a way around this?

No workaround, the merchant disabled the products via Clickbank.

The optin box is annoying. We all hate to see the merchant building his list with our traffic. But most of the merchants will not overwrite your cookies.
If their follow-up messages to the list are good you might get sales.
