keyword has 10,000 exact match searches per month but about 80% of the searches happen in july-oct
using google adwords for this data. is 10,000 a 12 month average or the average over the last few months?
in other words, how many exact searches does this kw get per year? 10,000*12=120,000ish (that would mean more than 10,000 during the seasonal months)
or 10,000*4+a few hundred during the non seasonal months = 45,000ish?

When you're in the google keyword tool, select the columns dropdown menu and select everything.

After you do that, and search for your keyword, export it in a .csv file.

The local search trends would give you the monthly search volumes for the past 6-12 months (depending upon the keyword)

Exact match shows you the average over the last 12 months. So, even if there's a spike in search activity it won't be reflected in that particular data.
