Could someone answer a quick question for me, does anyone know whether RSS Feeds will actually count as content on your website in the search engines

They do read it but as edpudol says they wont if its javascript, make a nice HTML reader or parse the content to html.
If your using wordpress obviously the post will be static content so i guess they will read it

Use PHP to parse it and display it as HTML

Yep, Kevmus is correct. PHP is the way to do it. If your looking at doing it static your going to have to do SSI. RSS in PHP then pull the PHP into HTML with a SSI. Good stuff. Note: You will have to break open your .htaccess file and do some mods to make it work. Also make sure you stay on the root. Folders can get ugly.

    AddType text/html .html
    AddHandler server-parsed .html
