    Hi guys,

Was hoping someone could shed some light on my dilemma.

I have a site that does not use SEF (but can), it is established already so don't wanna screw the links up.

The product URL's are already keyword rich, despite not having SEF enabled. However the News posts (that are posted daily) have crap in their URL and no keywords. I feel as though having SEF enabled for News items would be beneficial.

I am running Interspire ISC ... Does anyone know of a way to enable SEF for certain parts of a site rather than globally using Apache / htaccess etc ...?

Which version of ISC are you using? It is hard for me to give specific advice without knowing exactly which platform you are on.

Check out the ISC forum, there is a canonical URL mod that should do exactly what you are after.

Personally, I would take the leap and SEF everything and 301 everything, but I know it is a big task!

    Thanks for your response buddy.

    Version is 5.0.5

I would love to just enable SEF and 301 it all over, but only problem is my products are "new products" that come and go very quickly. When new ones come it's a bit of a race to see who can rank the fasted and we're smack bang on the launch of a great product at the moment and can not afford to google dance / do anything that would jeopardise positions.

ISC seems to be really crap for info with its pruning and customer only sections etc.

I'll check out that canonical addon, cheers for that :)
