search broken!

search is only returning results from today

Works fine for me I think.

Yep been like this for a while! I have resorted to google search with the site: operator

Yeah, after I saw you post yesterday I tried a few searches and noticed the same thing. I just tried it today and now it only returns results that have a last post of yesterday or today.

You can still use google to search though.
Just type site:blackhatworld.com YOUR SEARCH TERMS into the google search box.

A lot of the time that gives better results anyway.

Thanks, i was suriprised when i entered in search "backlink" and only 1 result came up oO.

That's true.

It looks like only threads with a last post date of 10/19 or newer are being returned in the search results. Hopefully they'll get the problem fixed.

Don't count on it....

Well I hope you're wrong and someone is working on the problem. The search function on this forum is one of the most important features.

I've seen many or your own posts telling people to use the search when they ask a frequently asked question. We can't do that now until it gets fixed.

Without it I've already been seeing a BIG increase in the amount of questions being asked about things that have been answered many times before. Instead of just telling them to use the search button, or search ourselves and then refer them to the best threads we now have to just start answering the questions from scratch everytime.

I hope some of the mods or admins might have noticed this thread. It would be nice to know that they're at least aware of it and hopefully working on resolving the problem.
