Screen Bust?

ok, i woke up this morning, pulled my laptop screen up and theres like a crack thing down the middle on an angle and one half of the screen is blank, i have no idea how this has happened, as theres no one else who uses my laptop and its just been sitting on my cupboard all night, just wondering does this mean its completely bust, or is there anything i can do?

so i can't tell you if its broken
but the smart thing too do is get it checked out

Its broken. its a common problem. sometimes its stress related overtime. sometimes its heat related. sometimes its a design issue. I used to get asked this all the time by technical support and engineers "why has this customers screen cracked by itself"
the answer from me was the customer cracked it. No one will ever tell you otherwise, regardless of the truth.
you need a new screen.
