Anybody got experience with this? I'm thinking of switching from xsserver to volumedrive. For half the price, I can get 4Ghz CPU and 4gb RAM.

yeah but think of all the trouble your going to have

your server will be down - and they wont respond to your emails to get it back up

they are the lowest of the low in terms of providing service to their customers.

im still wondering what the whole idea is with using a vps when you can just use a vm on your own machine.

I ahve 5-10 vms running pretty much all the time with various programs on them

Abstroose, Let me tell you one thing. VolumeDrive Sucks Bigger than Xsserver! I've bought a Dedi from VD and switched to Xsserver. In XS you can expect to get upto 110 Mbps Connection Speed in Dedicated Server with 1 Gbps Port.

Well, Its my experience with their Dedi's so i can't comment about their VPS.

You can Install & Run Scrapebox only in one Machine. If you try to run Scrapebox within Virtualbox, It will ask you to Activate it again. If you activate it, the license in your Main OS will be deactivated. I would recommend you to Run Multiple Instances of Scrapebox from Different Folders.

They only offer linux OS, hence why I'm asking about running VirtualBox on the VPS.

    Bandwidth.

Already did this. I'm asking specifically about running SB within VolumeBox.

Following up on this thread. If you are looking to run SB, you can use a windows emulator on a VPS account or lease a low cost dedicated server with Windows installed. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

That's what I was asking about - running a Windows emulator on a VPS account. Plus I thought all the dedis were sold out.

You can try running it on a VPS. Not sure the type of performance you'll get. Honestly, you might be better off with a dedicated server. We do have a few low spec servers such as Celeron Dual Cores and Athlons for $29.95 per month + $5 per month for Windows licensing. If you'd like more information, please contact us.
