Do you need to use proxies when using the Back Link Checker and Link Extractor?

Or should public proxies be used, or private proxies if you have them?

I'm still learning the software so just wanting to iron out when to use which type of proxy.

You ca use public proxies for those SB tasks. The link extractor will be a pain if you end up with a slow proxy. If you don't plan on link extracting 24/7 you should be ok with no proxies. But private is the best way to go and you can always use the private proxies for other tools.

The more you learn about Scrapebox, the more you understand that Private Proxies is a MUST! The results with private proxies are just far better than with public proxies.

I do get the advantages of using private proxies.

My only concern is that the people who sell them only allow them to swapped/renewed once a month.

Well if I'm paying £15 a month for 10 private proxies I'm just worried they'll be burnt within a few days by using Scrapebox posting/commenting so it'll cost the Earth.

I use private proxy for posting and checking link, since it's the most valuable thing. For scraping, i use public proxies.

I now only use public proxies for Keyword Scrapping and Harvesting. After switching to private proxies, Posting/Checking success has gone through the roof. I highly recommend you use private proxies with SB for Posting, Link Checking and URL Scraping.

How many private proxies do you use and do they 'die' quickly or last you the month?

i use 100 private proxies and it last for the month (5 scrapebox instance). I replaced them for the next month with a new proxy list.

Its pretty much all been covered here but private proxies are an absolute must for posting everything else is up to you. I run 10 private proxies and that lasts fine for the month doing a blast every second day or so, might be diff if you did it more tho.

I did some tests comparing 10 private proxies to 400 public proxies, and 400 public proxies can post links faster. So if you want the most links/hour, go with public proxies.

I didn't compare an equal number of proxies because people that have private usually only have around 10, and it's easy to get 400 public proxies, so I compared based on availability.

But, if I ran 10 private proxies with 10 connections, it was SLOW, but the success rate was really really high, like 90% for an auto approve list. So if you want the best success rate regardless of speed, you need private proxies.

If I ran more connections than the number of proxies, the speed obviously increases, but the success rate drops off considerably, and I might as well use public proxies.

For everything else, like checking links, scraping, etc, you can use more connections with public so it's faster. Success rate is all kinda the same for those tasks.

For those who got private proxies above, what service do you order from?

You say it's easy, but as a SB newbie, I'm finding it pretty hard trying to harvest my own list using certain footprints.

If there's any tips or sources you can share please PM me.

The internal ones on SB are next to useless as they die within minutes. But the ones I'm finding by harvesting, pretty much all fail the Google IP test too.

I do everything using about 10 private proxies. No problems with it.

Whilst we're on the subject, when should I be selecting 'Ignore Google' and when should it be deselected?

I "ignore google" on every task except when harvesting ulr's and scraping keywords

PS: using public proxies and no problems so far, but I am checking/refreshing them on every run

Cheers. So if I'm using the Backlink Checker and Link Extractor, I should 'ignore google' (Backlink Checker uses Yahoo Explorer I think?). I guess it means if you're needing to access Google, then they need to be checked - if you aren't, it doesn't matter. Makes sense now I think about it.

A downside to using public proxies, even for things such as the Backlink Checker, is that if it's a big list, the proxies are dead before the SB has gone through the full list... so you're pretty much forced to do smaller runs.

If you want to save times for harvesting proxy, i recommend proxygo scrapebox public proxies. So you can spend your precious time to do other things
