Why are you pissed off about that? I host the videos that teach people how to spam google on YouTube, which is owned by google. Google is aware that it happens, its not something that they are going to read your email, track it to your domain and then penalize your site for. There is no guarantee that a competitor didn't spam the links anyway, there is just too much uncertainty. Google has a business to run making billions of dollars, they can't take risks like that, thats why its still so easy to game them, they have to play a fine line.
ten foot high banner is clearly an exaggeration. I do have a banner in my sig, but I don't think it shows in BST. You probably saw the video I just launched, and if you read my posts 99.9% of them are helpful, I figure if you can waste space on BHW servers, so can I.
I was just getting at the fact that using gmail is no big deal, I own part of a brick and mortar SEO company in California. I mean we have a physical office with a dozen employees, we spam google, we do SEO, we do white hat, black hat, grey hat, reputation management, everything. We host all our tracking documents in Google Drive, customer sites, keywords, lists of links spammed, the works, we also have a internal website for training that shows how to use spam tools complete with internal training videos I have made, its on googles internal sites. We also host our business email thru paid google email hosting, so I use gmails mail servers to send and recieve all the mail about running the whole company that exists for the purpose of helping customers. We provide a lot of quality services, but we also definitely go into what google would consider black hat anyway, and its all hosted, stored and talked about via google services.
You need not worry about spamming gmail support coming from a gmail account. In theory it sounds almost ludicrous to do that, but google is very big and connecting that kind of data is too circumstantial for them to nail it down. Anyway, I don't give it a second thought.
