Scrapebox Spam has infiltrated my wordpress blogs! :-)

I love Scrapebox as much as anyone else in this forum but I have noticed a greater number of spam comments to my wordpress sites since this software has been out. It is kind of funny actually. I need to install some better protection. But regardless I think the software is great.


Scraper products are worth their weight in gold not to mention the blog commenting and the ping lists for instant backlinks.


I am making good money just using the scrape tool! :D

If anyone sells lists that are verified for pings and rapid index I would be willing to buy($$$).

yeah same here, i managed to spam my own blog the other day with scrapebox :P
 
Damn, I just realized that you don't need any fancy anti-spam plugins to protect yourself from spam! You just need to remove/change some text strings from your blog and no one will ever find it with scrapebox harvester. I figured out the exact strings that scrapebox looks for when harvesting urls.

Would you mind sharing that? I'd like to get the word out about that. I'll pop put few articles and see if I can't make WP blog owners aware of how to stop that piece of crap. I'm so sick and tired of the spam my blogs get from that thing.

Although, Akismet is awesome and catches 99.5% of it.

I know I'll get jumped on for saying this, but it's never stopped me before.

That tools is a friggin' scourge!

Furthermore, one good PR8 link is worth 1000 of those shitty WP autoblog links.

I never used that junk and I never will, and all of my sites rank well and get good traffic just from good old fashioned SEO.

Check out some of the shit I received today from that junk tool:

"Leasing a car However, there are also pitfalls in the Affiliate Marketing business."

And these came in on my get your ex back blog!

There is no rhyme or reason to it. And to pay $57 for that crap! Wow. someone got rich off figuring out how to throw garbage comments all over the internet.
 
If your blog is wordpress just remove the text "Powered by wordpress" from the footer.php and you'll never be found by scrapebox.

really if you know how to use it, it wont be garbage. there are other good stuffs that you can do with it. :)
personally, i have given up on the main feature of the software - to post comments. and i use other features and for just $47 it is really worth it.

If you look hard enough you can find it for free or once in a while someone will sell a cracked version on Fiverr for $5.
 
Scrapebox worths the money. you should by it. There will be more and more addon in the future.

Umm, are you sure about that? I dont have powered by wordpress in any of my templates.
