I just started to use scrapebox and i have a few private proxies i was considering using. I wanted to know what are the limits per proxy before they start getting banned or blacklisted. I tried to used the proxy finder with scrape box but i keep getting 404 errors and I'm not sure why. If i keep having problem finding legit proxies Ill just buy more private proxies.

Another question i have is if i used my private proxies to search google, yahoo, bing, etc. Will this cause any SEO issues if i have websites on those same IPs that are doing all the scraping.

Can someone help with the answer to my problem. (proxy max, 404 error, and SEO issues)

    Thanks

The proxies you can scrape are OK for scraping, but don't use them for commenting. I do use free proxies, just not the ones included. I'm also kind of using a paid proxy list service or two through a backdoor without paying. They're public proxies, just not available anywhere on the web and they update as huge lists constantly.

this might not be the correct way to do it but when you scrape for links use free proxies, when posting i might want to use my own private proxies.

does anyone know what causes the 404 error, when checking free proxies with scrapebox?

Think it just means the proxy is not active.

Is this service a subscription that is taking new subscribers? Finding usable free proxies with SB is quite a time killer and I'd be interested in finding out what company you recommend.

Search on here about a twitter account that updates every 30 minutes like clockwork and posts a list that expires every 30 minutes of good proxies. The list is usually 1000+ and once it hits 300 I usually stop it and I'll get 80 or 90 good finally ones.

Why the advise to avoid using the public proxies that scrapebox finds to make comments?

AKISMET will ban all your comments and your IP ADDRESS if you post 100 comments sequentially in less than 30 minutes using the same IP. :)

Because thousands of webmasters use them for blog commenting as well.
Akismet blacklist these IPs because they send tons of comments, etc.

Consider using proxygo if you want quality public proxies, they are a godsend for me

what's a reasonable connection limit for google, yahoo, and bing when harvesting? I find google can support 10 connections, where as Yahoo and Bing are probably much lower.
