I am using the 512 package xsserver vps.

I had 3 instances of SB running lists of 300k, 500k and 600k.

I came back this morning and all were giving the posting complete sign with one popup saying 'out of memory' though the lists would not have all completed naturally.

So how am I supposed to know what the ceiling is on memory as I want to squeeze all I can out of the server without hitting the ceiling.

Ok, it also just started going nuts beeping like crazy then my open boxes crashed losing a cpl of days of posted entries :(.

Guess I'll try only using 2 instances now.

Simply you don't have enough RAM to be processing that much at the same time.

Running 3 instance of SB with 512MB RAM?? You should have a minimum of 1GB RAM to run SB smoothly.

Well I was on 256mb package before but it would crash all the time on one instance.

Now though it has not crashed once running 24/7 until the out of memory thing.
