Hi, I searched for what I'm looking for and couldn't find any threads so here goes... Also, I'm asking Experienced SB users, please contribute if you know what you're talking about when it comes to SB. (Sorry if that seems rude, but I've seen so many posts in threads like: "Scrapebox doesn't work with 2.0 sites!", etc.)

BTW, I'm new to SB, Not Auto Blog Commenting ;)

    1 - Relevant Comments

If you use some of the methods here on BHW for scraping blogs like selecting WP + keywords, wonder wheel, or scraping competitors (or viagra spammers) backlinks, you get lots of untargeted, random blogs (even when using the intitle search string). So how are you able to leave non spammy comments because if your site's about "golf balls" and you try to stay niche specific you ebd up posting comments about golf balls on someone's fashion blog.

So how do you leave general all around comments without going the spammy "hey, {great|shitty|lame} website, i {like you|want f*ck your brains out}"

2 - Number of links to post per day

I've read that 50 per day is good for new web sites and 2.0 sites. Just wondering if that's true and if you're deep linking does that mean 50 total pages from your domain per day? Anyone have any thoughts on the numbers here?

Also, what would you ramp it up to per domain a day for established sites that have been online for years and already have good link counts?

Hopefully, some of you guys can shed some light on this as I've been reading a lot of SB threads and just want to learn all I can and not go too nuts with SB right out of the gate!

Honestly I have trouble with this so I would like to know how because during the scraping process I can't find a way to only pull blogs with keywords in the post body and not the comment section. Would be handy to only scrape blogs with a phrase or question.

I run about 200 every other day for new/web 2.0 sites. Not seen a negative effect but that is taking into account maybe %30 stick and then less than that auto approved.

On well established sites I have done 500 per day for a month with no adverse effects.

For your question of relevancy. You have to choose the specific search engine that match the operators that you use when you harvest. Meaning that operators that works on Google will not necessary work on yahoo.

Ok! What a spammy comment looks like:

-Hi, i came here and noticed that your blog could honestly be first in technorati top 100.
-Hi, your blog looks like. I will tell all my friends and i will make sure you will get 10k uv/day
-Hi, nice blog and amazing theme

They are all crap and if the blog is not autoapprove, 0.0001% of them will stick. I would not approve them unless that comment was the first i had received.

How non spammy comments should like like! Sorry no answer here but you should do this.
-Use casual language. Official language like ( "i took the sincere initiative" etc remind everyone of the way the chief of the worst nigerian scam gang writes) is not appreciated!
-Not too casual ( dude, bro, chief, etc will not work)
-Use questions (compliments are nice but compliments are spammy). Ask something related to the platform they use. Ask something thats its related to the post.
    Example: niche = pennis enlargement
Question : "how much should i press the button? Cant find anything in the instructions. Please reply asap. its urgent."
-Have sense of humour. If you write something funny, chances are that it will stick.

Anyway, everyone will tell you something different things. I mostly do not care about the niche. If you can get a high pr backlink from another niche, trust me it will be good;P

    Quantity:
I dont know whether sandbox, penalties or whatever exist. From my little experience new websites go up and down all the time if you do huge campaigns. If you have 2 posts in your website and 50k backlinks, then you are risky.
For the first one or two weeks be conservative. Build like 100 successful comments per day (maybe more maybe less). After that build some web2 properties and blast as much as you want. Blast your mainsite too.

Last week, one my websites(1+1/2 months old) was gone (sandboxed or whatever). Suddenly it comes in the first page for two days. I do a quite big blast and then its gone again. It should come shortly if it doesnt, who cares+lesson learnt.

It might be more clever as soon as you see your website in the first page to stop blastng as hell though and only post to page rank above 3-4 or something.

    Home Page:

    Use the operator - intitle:keyword

This makes sure that the keyword/phrase is actually in the title of the article, & not somewhere in the body. This ensures you'll be scraping only blog URLs that are EXTREMELY targeted to your keyword/phrase.

Literally copy & paste this into SB to see how it works (select the WordPress radio button to scrape WP blogs, and then paste this into the keywords to use while harvesting area):

    intitle:xbox 360

To be honest, I just use comments that can be applied to any blog, Weather it be a political blog, or an extreme sports blog, As mentioned before me, using a comment that is casual, yet funny, seems to work well

As far as hitting web 2.0 sites. I have done the conservative approach, and I have done the extreme approach, I haven't seen any adverse effects from either.

when I scrape a ton of blogs, I use my web 2.0 sites as test sites and run through the list, then do an instant link check, and save the auto approves, and build my auto approve list, for other campaigns, Right now im building 5k links per week to my web 2.0 sites, and that seems to be a good number for me.

Thanks for your contributions, I've been trying to think of some general enough yet not spammy comment, so the casual and funny ideas seem good!

Yeah I've been doing that, that's partly the reason I asked is because even with the intitle and inurl parameters I still get completely irrelevant blog posts that have the keyword NOWHERE in the title / url.

Down in the commenter section there's a "Check Links" button to the right.
