    Guys:

I have noticed that scrapebox linkchecker is giving false negatives.

It says link knot found when actually the link is there and live.

    Any solutions for this?

Try lowering the number of connections, very possible it may be timing out.

We wrote our own link checker because we found the same thing...

Volund probably has the right idea with lowering connections and upping the timeout value too.

Well, now I am finding the opposite.

It is reporting the link was created and when I go and manually check the links are no where to be found

Don't use the inbuilt checker, it's got known bugs. Use the separate link checker application

And don't use proxies if you aren't forced to for such checks.

Is there an addon or a separate application?

On the Scrapebox website, Go to addons, and you'll find the link checker there. It's a standalone application.
You can also install it as an addon but I prefer using it separately, because then I can use scrapebox for other purposes as well.

Could you post 2 URL's, the URL of the link your checking and the site your checking against to demonstrate this "known bug" that gives an incorrect result, so it's actually know to me too? :)

I don't have the list anymore, I merged it into the main one.
I'm currently running a scraping session, I'll do a check on a small part of the list and send you the details.

When I used the inbuilt link checker, I got like 2 results, when I ran the standalone app, it showed over 20. Both the lists were randomized before checking and the number of connections was the same.

    You'll find it here: http://www.scrapebox.com/free-link-checker

But I really don't know if there is a difference between this one and the one which is included in SB. On my side the SB linkchecker works great as long as I don't use proxies for linkchecking.
