When you people search for high PR pages, do you:

    1) Search for high PR posts related to your niche?
    2) Ping the URL?
    3) Build backlinks to it?

    Thanks.

Thanks. Just curious: Why don't you find backlinks (higH PR) related to your niche?

If I do it manually - yes, I search for posts and blogs related to my niche, otherwise - any high PR link will do, especially if it's AA. Trackbacks are great for that.

Honestly, the hassle of finding high PR niche blogs is quite a lot. And if they need to be AA, it's like nightmarish. I'd rather find niche blogs or high PR, but not try mixing them. life seems easier that way. And what would I do with PR, google has given a contact us page, with zero backlinks PR2, while my home page has PR1. So it's a screwed up system in regards to PR.

I don't care If they are AA or not. It seems some people here find any high PR pages, comment manually and ping them. I'm just curious what the best strategy is for this.

I separate high PR sublists from my SB AA lists and post my links there, not much of a hassle! It's a bit time consuming, but that's about it.

So you maintain a list of high PR pages to comment on?

This. When I'm looking for niche blogs, I don't care about the AA, PR, or do-follow. One is for traffic and one is for SEO. I post on related niche blogs to drive traffic to my site and I post on High PR pages to rank my site.
