I have been using Scrapebox for harvesting for sometime now and it has paid for itself many times over.

Yesterday, I started trying the 'commenting' feature, and something did not feel right about the results.

The success rate seemed rather low from what I had read online (98 out of 1398 urls in a 'clean' list - by 'clean' I mean no duplicate domains).

In the second run, it was 2 out of 258. So I tried the slow commenter (with decaptcha), and got 45 successful comments. So, thats 2+45=47 out of 258 urls.

Next, I tried the exact same keywords as seen in 'Scrapebox domination' course. Here is my problem:
The guy in the video scrapes 15k results, while I got only 8k for the same list of keywords
Then I cleaned this 8k urls down to 1038 urls.
Out of 1038 urls i got SB to successfully post on exactly 2 posts. (The guy in the video got 566 successful postings, and he called it a low success rate than normal)!

Any ideas on what I can be doing wrong?
    Any settings? Anything? Anyone?
I just dont know what to try.
Any help will be appreciated!!! I can really use this to get backlinks to my backlinks..

Btw, the results above are for fast commenter

    Its best to scrape the keywords more than once; i do it 3 times;

an example of one of my scrapes;after the first scrape my first link count would say 5143 links; id run the scrape again my link count would go up to 7,450; my third and final scrape the link count would finish at 9,302.

As for your low success rate you must remember if the blogs are moderated it will take time for the comment to be approved if at all and you shouldnt expect a high success rate because of this.

e.g i could scrape 10,000 links; post 7000 successfully in fast mode; check for my link at the blogs and have only 700 automatic backlinks because the other blogs are moderated; giving a 10% success rate at the present time.

Jack, I understand what you are saying here, but my problem is that the posting success rate is low (not the approval rate).

Using your example, out of 10.000 scraped links, SB posts only 10-20 successfully instead of 7.000. I am not really talking about the acceptance of comments as I understand that these comments will be moderated later.

Clearly, something is not working the way it should... And I am at a complete loss.

I dont really consider myself to be a tech noob. But this one has me stumped.

Any help/ideas? Maybe some settings (I'm using the default settings)?

P.S. I am using private proxies (not from yourprivateproxy c0m)

The most important thing to look at is the error log, what do most of the errors say? 404, 407, 500, Timeout?

This is the key to working out what's wrong.

    SOLVED:
(For those of you who may be experiencing something similar)

I tried rollback, new proxies, resetting settings : nothing worked.

So, I thought maybe some addon is conflicting with the main program? I had the following addons installed:
    1. Alexa rank
    2. Bandwidth meter
    3. Do-Nofollow
    4. Google image grabber
    5. Outbound link checker

So I tried SB without any addons.

Scrapebox with addons- 27 successful out of 1039 clean list of Wordpress urls (fast commenter)
Scrapebox without addons- 188 successful out of 1039 (Wordpress)

I can live with a 18% success rate though I'm sure it can be better. I'll give it a few more runs.

Huh... thats interesting. Never heard of that before? I get about a 20-25% success rate... so you're about where I am...

I'd like to see what Sweetfunny has to say about that... if it is an anomaly or if it really had something to do with it. Thanks for publishing your results, one way or the other. Glad you saw better results!

    Sweetfunny,
In fast commenter, I saved the error log and this is what I have (from SB with Addons - 28 successful out of 1039)

    356 FAILED, 404
    28 Submitted
    32 FAILED, unable to post
    28 FAILED, captcha
    2 FAILED, no comment form

Timeouts and 404's indicate a connection issue, go to "Settings" and "Adjust Maximum Connections" and for the fast poster reduce the number of connections by half. Also make sure the fast poster timeout is at least 30 seconds, and then try it.

Also the addons being installed or not has no effect, they are just like separate apps.

    hey m8

its your internet " that is no fail " when you are talking about wordpress sites " either your connection is freakishly slow or either your computer isnt able to connect to the websites fast or probably somethings up with your dns settings." where are you situated" you may have a pinging issue " actually the higher the pings the lower the success rate. Ofcourse higher the ping late opens the website.

Just keep that thing in mind scrapebox uses Your internet connection.

You just said something about timeout " I reckon its because of that"

Yeah check if some blogs timed out

Go to start of windows " type cmd "

write the url of that webpage and before that

Ping www.blahblah.com press enter if its easy you will get results.

Or one more way once you open ms command "the same as above"

    type tracert www.blahblah.com

Check how many pcs are there inbetween you and the server where the hops exceed 250 ms that is actually failure ping standard notation is ms.

The higher the ping the slower is your data reaching the far end or coming at your end

Cheers Hope You get the solution

oh and yeah buy yourself a good connection

Sweetfunny im using slow poster and its very very fast for me but i only have about 30% success rate.
is there any way to adjust settings for the fast poster to "post slower" thus, it might be more successful?
    Thank you! :)

Lower your multiple connections and increase your timeout i suppose.
