    Hey there everyone.

I'm using scrapebox on a windows 7 PC with 1 GB RAM and a 1 mbps connection. I get very poor success rates (like not more than 5%) although I follow a very popular method of grabbing a list of spammers urls and then scanning through their backlinks. I found a blog spammed with over 4,000 comments and extracted 1300 spammer url from it then used linkdomain: with yahoo in the harvester. It came up wit 250,000 (thought they'd be more?) then after removing all duplicate domains they were only 56,000. How do people come up with lists of over 500,000 unique domains and have higher success rates? I'd be satisfied with even a 10% success rate.lol.

Hopefully you can give me ideas about what might be the problem. Connection? hardware? Way of harvesting?

    Thanks a lot.

Do you have private proxies? If not, go get 10/20 NOW.

Yes. All posting is done through private proxies. :(

    Thanks for your input.

Can you or anyone else provide more suggestions?

    Thanks a lot!

What are your total connections set to?

I have a copy at home and anything over 50, the success rate drops significantly. Also try raising the timeouts and see if anything changes.

Proxies have nothing to do with your success rate.
Your domain is probably blacklisted by Akismet anyway.

I would say the numbers you're getting are perfectly fine.
I get much or less the same results. My success rate is 15%-20%.
Probably because I use a tool to clean up the list gathered by Scrapebox.
(remove bad neighborhoods, non-comment-able URLs, non-blog URLs, etc.)

After collecting the successful results from a few blasts you will end up with a high success rate list.

"over 500,000 unique domains and have higher success rates" - this is just a myth.
The autoapprove blogs worth spamming are probably less than 10,000.
You might end up with a 500,000 list but not unique domains.

Thanks so much for the input.

Actually my domain cannot be blacklisted by Akismet as I was spamming my web 2.0 properties. Thanks for clearing up the unique domains thing. When I buy lists or see them anywhere, it's almost always many pages from each domain when the seller claims big numbers. I didn't honestly see a list with big numbers AND unique domains.

Once again thanks for the input.

Any other theories are welcomed and appreciated!:D

Proxies have everything to do with success rate. Using Private proxies as compared to public proxies I have a much higher success rate using private.

Now one thing I have found is that if you are only using fast poster your success rate will only be between 10 - 20%. When I run slow poster behind it my success rate jumps to between 80-85%.

Hmmm, problem is, slow poster is ULTRA slow on my 1 mpbs connection lol. Is it worth getting a VPS in your opinion?

    Definitely.

Also possible that you've harvested a crappy list and your encountering a ton of captcha blogs. Run it through blog analyser to see what type of blogs you were posting to.

EDIT: What footprint are you using?

Here's an easy one to try:

"E-mail (will not be published) (required)" + "Name (required)" + "Website"

Try not to use proxies and your success rate will improve even further.

@ youssef93 - WinXP is recommended for Scrapebox. Running Win7 on 1GB RAM is not recommended in general.

Keep task manager open while running scrapebox to see if your CPU and/or ram is constantly at the max. If not your system specs are fine.

I don´t agree! You got to learn a lot more before you try to help.

    I don´t agree!

by just analysing a bh webmaster i collected 1500 autoapproved urls.

This is how i use and few infos :

20 or less is ideal for 16mbit connections ( i use this on 18 ).
Timeouts 90.Randomize comment poster blogs list on.

If public proxy doesn't seem to work when Scrapebox attempts to post, it will
mark as "failed", when it might have been a success.I personaly
havest up to 1k public proxies with less than 500ms latency and use
them to check PR, analyse backlinks etc pp.Also to post.

To post comments , everyone should use private proxies. You should
have 10 - 20 proxies to raise your rates.

Repost on failed ones and lower your connection max to 10 on fast
    poster.

Do this with 2 or 3 scrapebox instances!

Go to scrapebox directory, create a new one like /scrapebox2 ,
copy scrapebox from original directory and run scrapebox2 posting on more sites.

Check your internet settings on your OS.
If you are using XP download a dsl tweak app to optimize ttl
    and mtu settings.

    best wishes

it is fine for 1mbps connection.
have you tested on speedtest[dot]net whether you are actually getting 1mbps or not?
i have a 1mbps connection at home and i easily get 20% success rate with 25 connections.

I repeat, you need a VPS. If you want to do anything proper with SB, your connection needs to be 10 mbps minimum.
