I need some advice regarding harvesting blogs. This is becoming frustrating and Im sure I will kick myself when I find the answer.

I test my search in google first using an example like

    Intext:"leave a comment"+"email"+"website"+"ipod touch"

This will bring back the results I want. Normally a few thousand per keyword.

So I add this same text to a file using
    Intext:"leave a comment"+"email"+"website"+"%KW%"

I go to keywords and merge with 3000 keywords.

I select wordpress button so it filters on wordpress blogs

Hit harvest and im up at 30mb bandwidth so far but zero results.

Why is this if I see tons of results in google..

Im sure I will kick myself when I find the answer..

    Ok this is strange.

Removed the intext operator then moved footprint next to the M

Then added all keywords in keyword box below and hit custom footprint.

Now getting tons of results from g00gle. Maybe the | operator for OR wont work with yahoo or aol.

    One of my findings today:

It appears that yah00 search no longer supports the intext: or inurl: search operator.

If you are using a custom footprint, you need to have the custom footprint toggle on. If you select wordpress, you are essentially disabling the custom footprint that you have put in. Just add "powered by wordpress" to your existing footprint and leave it on custom footprint and then search.

I could be wrong but I think this might give you better results.

    Ok looks better now

    So this seems to work

Next to M you enter "Powered by WordPress"+"leave a comment"

    Then hit custom footprint

Then import keyword list. No quotes needed.

No need to merge with footprint file as only one footprint.

    Thanks.
