This is a question regarding Scrapebox + a dedicated server. I'm running scrapebox on a Windows XP machine. Most of the time the PC just locks up. It's an Alienware with 4GB of RAM. Not sure how Scrapebox could use that much of the system resources.

Anyways, my question is regarding a dedicated server. When people talk about running Scrapebox and Xrumer on a dedicated server are they talking about a Windows web server that most webhosts have?

I assume as much much I'm just making sure.

Can anyone recommend a good company to go with?

Maybe. I think I may install Windows server on a separate partition and try to run it on that. When you are using slow poster for say 100,000 blogs how long would this usually take you? I have been running for two days.

Would Scrapebox run better on Windows Server than say Windows 7?

I have Windows Server 2008 + 512MB RAM and it works very very well for me, picture lags little bit, but that's because i'm using remote connection.
